For some reason I thought I'd heard that the levels were procedural, but a google search turns up nothing. I guess I imagined it.

this one has some resogun elements and seems kind of like a spiritual successor type thing

There's a "SAVE ALL HUMANS" thing going on but aside from being a perfect modern evolution of the Arcade Game it doesn't have a lot of mechanical similarities to Resogun. Basically this game is to Robotron what Resogun was to Defender.

edit: which is to say it's perfect lol. I don't think PS4 tracks that poo poo but i'm pretty confident that Resogun is still my most-played game on the system ever, and it was a launch title

Housemarque is a quality dev and I like their stuff, but twin stick shooters are one of my least favorite genres and I really wish they'd just do Resogun 2. I'll still probably get this because it looks really good and I can get enjoyment out of the genre if the game is quality enough.

Please give me more Resogun though.

I was still worried for my PS4 slim and the raging heat here in the UK, so I only played another 20 minutes of Horizon. This time I got to hunt for some blaze powder and attack a strider/watcher herd on my own with no hand holding. I died a few times but I really enjoyed how tense it was hiding in the bushes and escaping up the trees.

I think I will concentrate my gaming time on this because I have to get the answers to my questions! :D

We're not allowed to as users but Sony and-or the PS4 can track the amount of time you spend in a game, even how much time you spend in an online component. Even back before the PS4, even before the Vita came, the data has been recorded. We got those mails for the anniversary or whenever it was.

The Last of Us singleplayer is really good at making your PS4 run like a furnace. My PS3 and PS4 just shut off when it got too hot. No PS4 Slim, though.

That may just be talking to Bungie and not Sony, the game has its own dedicated API.

What's bothering you about it. If it helps it's probably best not to bother with using your pod fire except when stuff is flying out of range. The Pod Powers are fun to use, I really wish I could get Missile way earlier in the game.

I don't care for it either, but it does have a cool Japanese voice actor, though. (Yui Ishikawa who voices Mikasa in Attack on Titan.)

Just FYI I wouldn't worry about it too much. The PS4 should kick off before it overheats and I've played many games with it sounding like a jet engine in 100 degree weather and never had a single over heat.

Yeah I just traded my old PS4 to someone and I was wary about how insanely loud it was before the trade , so I took the bottom off and blew the dust out and holy poo poo I should have done it years ago. Sounded like it did when it was brand new.

Seems like a huge oversight on Sony's part that you have to void the warranty to get to the fan, when really the PS4 should probably be cleaned at least a few times a year.

I wonder how the pro fares in that regard. Mines still too new to open up.

Was it difficult to open? I've had my ps4 for a few years now and it whirs up from time to time, but I read an article about roaches living in ps4s and I'm honestly disgusted by the idea of cracking it open.
