Istari posted:This is a really stupid 5'5" person thing to say, but it genuinely never occurred to me that tall people would have trouble fitting on rides. Is it very common ? Do the workers tell you you're too tall, or do they just let you on and laugh when you bump your head ? Some suspended roller coasters where you hang down from the car have height limits, presumably cos your feet would hit stuff. I've been knocked back from one which had a 200cm limit.

Parrotine posted:Well of course she's a great person, she owns her own theme park my dude, that's like one of six jobs that won't make you dead inside as an adult Her theme park is literally next door to a UNESCO World Heritage site so you can ride the rides and then see some of the best natural beauty on the East coast in the same day. Istari posted:Well now I feel stupid. In my defence, I've been to 2 theme parks in my 26 years, and they were both before I was 10. Most theme park rides have a pretty good head clearance; like good for 8 foot tall people. The major problem is that the safety restraints may not fit a tall person very well.

My daughter received these books until she turned 5 (her grandmother signed us up for it) and with the last book she also got a letter from Dolly that made me cry like a big dumb baby. And I'm a goon so I've been dead inside for decades. The worst thing about this is the short shorts with cargo pockets.

those aren't short shorts. They are regular length shorts. If you think those are short shorts, what do you consider to be regular length shorts, this?

I own a dozen pair of Chubbies and wear them exclusively 9 months out of the year. No one I know would consider them, or the picture I quoted, "normal length". I agree with you completely, that's just not reality where I live (Southeast USA)

Also Dollywood is awesome. The whipped cream cat thing reminded me of something from yesterday. I stopped at the store to grab some coffee creamer on my way to work. When I opened the door to grab it from the cooler I heard one of the worker ladies inside the cooler say to someone "Every time I see whipped cream it makes me think of my cat." I really wanted to ask her what she does with the cat and whipped cream but I guess now I know.
