If Zephro is up before the beak on shitposting charges and we've all been writing about his prolific shitposting ways, the defence could reasonably argue that the jury could be swayed by our prejudicial writings against the defendant and that a fair trial is therefore not possible.

Peter Jukes covers this a fair bit in his book about the phone hacking trial, Beyond Contempt.

6 days of scheduled debate. Then the vote.

Technically the 6 days don't need to be consecutive so if they really need to stretch out DUP negotiations they can just avoid having a session on a day.

The vote will go ahead even without any formal deal - though the DUP have already indicated they will vote for it no issue (confidence is no problem, the part of the deal needing ironed out is supply - ongoing support for government budgets)
