If the queen forgot the speech and started making stuff up would the government still have to do it?

So am I insane or is there a very grim number being missed here? 68 flats "acquired" (how much do you want to bet central government is still paying the "affordable" (hah!) rents on them?) to rehouse the survivors of the 127-dwelling Grenfell Tower, which means either actually a lot of other people are still going to end up being moved to the ends of the earth, or... 61 flats had no survivors.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/06/21/exclusive-dup-broke-talks-tories-36-hours-week-demand-2billion/ The Democratic Unionist Party broke off talks with Theresa May this week as it told her to spend Ł2billion in Northern Ireland if she wants the party to prop up her minority Conservative Government. The DUP demanded the cash – which works out as Ł1,100 per person in the Province - as talks veered dangerously close to breaking down altogether. The talks became so strained in the past few days that the DUP negotiators in Belfast refused to pick up the phone to the Prime Minister’s team for 36 hours, The Daily Telegraph can disclose. Westminster sources said they now hoped a “confidence and supply” deal could be agreed next week, days before Thursday’s key vote on the Queen’s Speech. The talks have been held together personally by Gavin Williamson, the chief whip, and Damian Green, Mrs May’s right hand man in the Government. Lol

I believe this is the first tranche of support so the expectation is that there will be more coming, perhaps with more bedrooms as someone here said these are 1 or 2 bedrooms and Grenfell had some 4 beds (I think).

It's not a coalition, though, it's confidence and supply. They'll have a ton of leverage for as long as they're willing to take part. And the idea that they'll lose ground in Stormont because of this seems unlikely to say the least. They're keeping a ra sympathising pinko out of government after all, that's going to play well with unionists back home.

I know of a family at Greenfell that have all all died (parents and baby still technically missing but..) except one little girl. The neighbours and school parents put up a donation page which hit 31k in under 2 days. the coming together of the community after this thing is really heart warming, and it's a loving travesty and a testament to how poo poo the government is that they haven't done all this poo poo by themselves.
