Attention Xbox One users! The new update is currently patching and has passed certification! You can access your new Retro Jason as a skin swap on Jason Part 3 and the 13,000CP will be added to your account this weekend starting the 23rd when the Double XP Event goes live!

Keep in mind; the matchmaking and memory leak issues we've discussed still do exist and our team has pinpointed the issue and are working on the solution that will be patched just as soon as we are able. This is our team's top priority and it affects all three platforms, but we're confident in a resolution!

Again, we apologize for the short delay and are thankful for your understanding!

Welp, I can use my Neon Jason until I get disconnected! :v:

Finally got to play NES Jason with a full house....and as soon as I killed the first person everyone disconnected except 2 people.

I still managed to hunt them both down. For the first one she managed to escape to the boathouse on Crystal Lake after knifing me, so I teleported to the other side of the boathouse and turned on Stalk. I waited just around the corner, and as she slowly jogged away thinking she was home free I stepped out and grabbed her to punch her head off.

The best I've seen was Jason using Shift when faced with a shotgun. He disappeared as the counselor fired and reappeared right in front of her muzzle.

I've had a few awesome shifts where I snuck in the door of a cabin right as the counselors were closing it, then reappear right behind them before they get a chance to even realize what happened.

Everyone I've played with has been just super great. I'm on now hosting a quicklobby with a decent connection under lennylasher if you're around. No mic though because fuuuuuck wearing a headset in this heat.
(everyone just quit out after one match. Why?)

Also, must have been a lag glitch, but just saw Retro-Jason loving FLY through the air to shift grab someone. That was loving hilarious

Once in a while if you use Stalk you can get close enough to a whole group of like 3 or 4 counselors to actually hear them planning poo poo, then shift right into the middle of them and they completely lose it because there was no music cue to warn them. That's really the best use of Stalk, counselors are mostly smart enough now to know that if you're on their rear end the music going away doesn't necessarily mean they're safe. But if they never saw you in the first place....

The only thing I don't like about NES Jason is that his weapon strength makes it so that you also want to be hacking people apart, which is disappointing from both perspectives. It feels so much better to get a cutscene.

I shifted into a group of four randoms who were trying to go for a Jason kill once and they got all pissy and called me 'left clicker'. I was like, uh, what did you want me to do when I was surrounded, let you get the kill?

Always pop stalk BEFORE a morph.

You then pop sense and line up your shift.

The campers will always accuse you of cheating because you appeared out of thin air with no music.

As Jason you can break down doors faster, tank flare shots, and cause counselors to break their weapons on you by using block.

I'll go into combat stance as Jason if a counselor gets suitably courageous and challenges me when they're backed into a corner. Had one Deborah yell "come get it then FUCKER" when she was trapped in a cabin - had to appreciate that sort of spark in a victim, so let her clock me after I hit her twice. :v:

I really appreciate counselors who try to fight Jason. They're mostly crap, but yesterday we had a game where we just kept wailing on Jason and knocking him down or stunning him until the timer ran out after almost 2 minutes.

I got to knock him out with a pot today but forgot to come up with a pun to yell.

I did have my "Jenny 2: Electric Boogaloo" jokes, but I had pre-planned each one as I was running away in case I got caught again. It just so happened that I ended up escaping 5 times before getting slugged in the back of the head by a bat.

Pan you handle it?

Enough time has passed that we have perks worth a drat and fighting Jason is more rewarding than running out the clock. Him fighting you means six people are still doing stuff.

I let people hit me if I'm standing in a doorway in one of the one-door cabins. Always a little fun watching them trying to run past, and they wasted their flare gun.

I think if everyone is barricaded into a cabin or a stall in the Higgins Haven barn with a bear trap blocking you from entering, the sportsmanlike thing to do is walk into the bear trap.....and now they can't get past you without going through the broken windows.

Every pun has to be a variant of "ice to meet you" just because it makes no loving sense and Jason just gets confused.

"Bat to meet you"

Had my first Jason round earlier today and man it's harder than it looks. I have no idea how other players seem to have such an easy time grabbing me because I could barely get anyone, and it probably didn't help I got put with pubbies who'd actually work together. In the end only got 3/8. Rolling with Jason 6 might not have been the best idea for my first round as him.

Also had another round where I almost escaped for the first time in the back of the 4-seater, but Jason stopped the car, and as we all piled out to stun him for a bit I died to an axe swing that wasn't even aimed at me :smith:

On the other hand, earlier in the round an AJ tried to bait Jason to me, but hiding in the closet actually worked for a change! The AJ bailed out the second story window, Jason didn't think to Sense for anyone else in the cabin and went down to finish her off :v:

I'd definitely recommend sticking with Jason 2 or 3 for your first few games, until you get the hang of using your skills a little bit more. Being able to run is a way to make mistakes like wasting a Shift much less costly.

Honestly, I think having that high a stealth with such decent composure makes her more irritating than challenging. Trying to wait out the timer rather than escape "legitimately" drags the experience for everyone.

Nothing works on Jason when he's blocking, not even the sweater. It's really dumb and I think they should remove blocking from the game, though it's a bit late for that and a lot of people would freak out.

If I'm going after people in a cabin I block in case I go round a corner and they try to shoot me with a flare.

Can't block shotguns though.
