I've read that neonicotinoids are much worse for wild solitary bees and stingless bees and bumblebees and all those cute little adorable flying things that everyone should love and protect I mean why the everloving gently caress would farmers want to kill bees? It's the stupidest thing ever

Persian white and Turkish blue poppies are good for this, as they grow almost anywhere, proliferate well, have large pretty flowers that bees love, especially solitary bees, and I like to think that their existence annoys T. May on some fundamental level.

We can forge new relationships and amicable trading deals with a Beexit that benefits all and sting free access to honey without accepting freedom of movement of bees through our homes

That Times piece is cool, I like the bit where he is concerned that young people don't understand that assistance the government gives them now will come out of taxes, taxes they will themselves have to pay when they're older. Like yeah that's the idea, help me out now when my earning power is low and then when I can afford it I'll help out the next generation. The alternative is the government does gently caress all for me and I stay poor forever and never pay taxes worth poo poo.

I don't actually dislike Abbot but as someone with diabetes I cannot think of any reason why type 2 would cause you to gently caress up something like this. You don't really get hypoglycemia with t2. Seems to me an obvious attempt to give her a plausible excuse. For all May's faults, she has type 1 which should in theory put her at significantly more risk of those kinds of difficulties and yet she seems not to have.

Either way the obsessive glee with which she's been persistently pilloried for having a brainfart over some figures nobody watching was really paying attention to anyway looks really bad when contrasted against the similar showings by other politicians on either side of the house and how they've been largely spared such treatment.

Because we worked out the connection between bee murder and Nicotine based pesticides and banned them. Bare in mind that there are now over 500 peer reviewed papers and reports that prove this connection, and the people with a vested interest in these pesticides keep on rolling out the same few pet scientists with their bullshit "evidence". Oddly enough iirc it was discovered by a school child who was doing a science project, it's really really not hard to prove. You could even do it at home if you own a net. You take some bees and put them in with plants sprayed with nicotine pesticides, wait a bit and then they are dead. People denying this are as cuntish as climate change deniers.

This isn't quite true - my dad is type 2, and he would go hypoglycaemic every so often, usually if he'd continued to take his medication but had been particularly busy and hadn't got around to eating/drinking anything. Warning signs were him being very pale and sweaty, and if left for much longer, HUGE irritability and anger over irrational things/reasons, or conversations that didn't make any sense.

She does have a slightly stoned guidance teacher cadence to her voice and she doesn't perform too well in the default (hostile) interview environment but these quirks seem to be amplified in coverage of her by the received wisdom flying about throughout our media that there is something inherently ridiculous about her, which has got to the point where Ruth Davidson can quip "Diane Abbott, she's a big beast" or words to that effect on HIGNFY and be showered with uproarious laughter and applause.
