It's so close, but equally I feel if they were going for straight-up loss they'd hew a little closer to the structure. There's some tiny details that match up perfectly while a lot of big ones don't.

I'm not saying this is an intentional reference but I definitely think pro comic book people would water down a reference like that for plausible deniability if it was deliberate.

It's both.



The symbiosis also leaves the host extremely vulnerable to psychic attacks. Basically anyone can beat up Venom.
