Does that poo poo get better because it almost felt like a straight-faced parody of what people who don't watch anime think it is. That's pretty much how i feel about it too, but lots of people seem to like it. But, i'm going to assume that if you don't like it now, it's not likely to change.

Like, it looks better and becomes a bit less goofy/more serious and story oriented, but basically what you see is what you get.

I only got through one season of RWBY but some of its ideas seem endearingly batshit - gently caress you, that monkey man has a staff that turns into two pairs of nunchucks made of flintlock pistols and that's rad as hell - and the fanon seems fun enough.
