syscall girl posted:Why would you buy the full stainless steel whipped cream maker for $30 when you can get a dozen canisters and a little plastic "cracker" for $10 at your local head shop? Are you talking about buying whipped-cream-in-a-can, ready to dispense? Because that stuff is an abomination and tastes nowhere near as good as fresh cream, nevermind doing culinary things like flavoring the cream before dispensing. I worked in a retaurant ages ago and yes, we used those. Also, what RyokoTK said.

Those people are on harder poo poo than nitrous, my dude. People that buy the whip cream makers use them for their intended purpose. I order the nitrous capsules for my work. If anyone was doing whippets here I would know. eta: Freshly made whipped cream also tastes a zillion times better than premade and you can add in sugar and vanilla to your preference. If you bake at home and use whipped cream you should look into buying one of those because they really work like a dream. And also you can get high on the unused chargers RyokoTK has a new favorite as of 03:21 on Jun 23, 2017 |

The thing that should tell you that people don't really use those dispensers for whippets is that they sell the nitrous canisters at the gas station with a wink and a nudge but not the dispensers

As others have said, they're a neat culinary toy. It's just a nice coincidence that, once your whipped cream / chocolate mousse is all dispensed, you can empty the remaining pressure into your lungs. I haven't done that yet, but bitch I might.
