There was even a recall over it. They can't literally take control of your car and drive it into a wall or some poo poo because of the way cars work.

Pretty much. Even an offline system can be exploited given enough time to experiment, and we're talking about a concept that would be heavily reliant on online GPS, weather reports, traffic updates, etc. just to get by.

People make computers out of blocks in a lego game or a gameboy running a vulnerable game just for fun, a lot of tech fetishists really underestimate the skill for abstract thought and innovation some people have.

Printing that they avoided a whole bunch of important questions looks way better than showing a video of them squirming for 15 minutes, trying to look like they know what they're talking about.

My point is that having the GOP release such a blatantly horrible bill with awful reception is a great time to go "these chucklefucks don't know what they are doing". When the bill (I would hope) inevitably fails it opens them up to pushing hard against it.

I remember when the DEMS unveiled the ACA, instead of just attacking it Republicans started talking about the AHCA in specific detail from day one, and that's why they were able to capitalize on it.

The thing is that unless the elected Democrats actually work to enact the policies in the platform it really is just a joke. The concessions made by centrists to leftists when they lose is literally without precedent. No losing primary candidate in either party has ever been allowed to nominate a single member of the platform writers in American history.

Also, how dare Dems not pass a $15 minimum wage with no power. Seriously, are you actually trying to say that the things in the platform not coming true after they lost is Dems fault and not, you know, what happens when they don't control any part of government?

You don't understand the Democrats or their leadership or seemingly much of anything.

So your only response to leftists refusing to ever acknowledge the concessions made to them is to not even address those concessions and instead use anecdotes about ...christ, I don't even know what that horseshit wall of text was. What the gently caress does literally any of what you said have to do with Democratic Leadership and their treatment of the left?

Its them continuing to throw fits over not being able to control the narrative. They'd like nothing more than to shut down the press briefings, go silent most of the week, and use Fox News as their sole outlet. But every time they try and pull back access they get attacked from all sides and the narrative just gets worse. This current round will probably break in a week or two when the media gets tired of it and frustrated and start making lots of noise. They were distracted this week by Georgia and health care, and that will probably continue into next week. But eventually it will repeat the process where everyone gets annoyed at the lack of answers, criticism ramps way up, Trump tweets a bunch of explosive poo poo, etc.

Yeah, it's this. Republicans weren't in power and daily screeching into the Hatemaw that they would repeal Obamacare, Impeach the Kenyan Marxist Muslim Usurper, and make it illegal to care for others, and they were rewarded very handsomely indeed. So yes, Dems should be making up wild poo poo like "living wage" and "healthcare should exist" and campaigning on it. Yep.

It's important to show people you are at leasty trying to work in their interests. Republicans do that even if their interests are dumb. Trump still talks about The Wall, and that fires up the dwindling section of his base that mostly cares about the wall.

Fighting for $15 is actually a good idea, and does get people energized. It's important to look like you're working for it even if you realistically can't right now.

It's a pastime for some folks.

I try and point out when folks get into turnout-bashing mode that yelling at folks both wont work and ignores the voter suppression problems that are at the core(like people working during voting days, etc) but it feels good to poo poo on someone I guess.
