I did have a very long break between the two, though. (which caused me to be confused about how the two stories were connected) Also, there is some optional free DLC that puts a few little data log entries with fairly huge spoilers for the game. So avoid downloading those, if you care about spoilers. I already knew what was given away, and it's telegraphed fairly early on, but I still think it'll bug some people, so consider yourself warned.

Cool, thanks for the tips! I'm gonna try and wrap up SMTIV this weekend since my freelance workload is nice and light. I'm thinking I'll burn through Master Blaster Zero or maybe the last half of Ace Attoreny 6 before diving into STMIVA, but I am def eager to go through another campaign in post-apocalyptic tokyo I also thought about getting all the demons (like I did with Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 back in the day!) but a quick search has revealed that this is a huge undertaking that requires a minimum of 3 playthroughs, lots of luck, and is prob not worth it! oh well

I was under the impression that Nintendo used ips screens because that's all they could find at the time of manufacturing. That's why it was so sporadic and random as to what systems got them. Hell I remember when the small n3DS finally came to America, absolutely zero of them had IPS screens. Then the Mario Land bundle came out and certain serial numbers did have them. I'm not sure why the n3DS xl would be different, though maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

Another Ever Oasis nitpick, so certain residents have certain skills. The first major dungeon had things that were obviously intended for you to come back with other characters because maybe you didn't have that skill at the time. The second major dungeon though, requires you to have more skills than you have characters in your party so you have to change mid dungeon multiple times... This wouldn't be so bad if you could hot swap characters, but in order to do that you have to go back to town and although you have a teleport button that takes you back to town and then takes you right back where you left off, it's still tedious and takes way too long to do. Game is still great though, it's like a Dark Cloud lite game.

I was thinking about that, I got a guy who can mine and also has a hammer which is really useful. I also noticed some of my residents have 2 skills, so I assumed the potential for someone to have two useful skills is possible, but I never saw anyone and had made resident everyone I found up until that point. I never considered switching my characters weapon to something other than the sword though, yea that would be really useful. So yea, if I equipped my main character with a wand I got it would have solved my issue. katkillad2 fucked around with this message at 21:56 on Jun 24, 2017 |

Yeah, I've played though a decent chunk of Ever Oasis, and I'm liking it a lot so far. It's a fairly cute and chill game. Kind of like a cross between Animal Crossing and Zelda, and pretty reminiscent of Rune Factory. Though if you tried out the demo and it didn't do anything for you, I would probably give the game a pass. Unless you really like town management systems, which wasn't really in the demo.

The varia suit eliminates most of the difficulty otherwise.

So now that I've come to terms that if I want a. NEw 3ds and live in America I'm forced to buy the big one, is there any reason to not buy a new 2ds? Also has anyone had any luck using larger than "officially" supported memory cards with the 32 GB cluster size method? In TYOOL 2017 I'm very annoyed with having to own game cartridges.

Yeah, it's pretty weird that you need to convince people to stay in your safe zone instead of going back out to the dangerous Chaos-filled desert. The game keeps trying to tell you how hosed the world is and that you're the only hope left, and then I still need to get this random dude 3 specific fruits or he'll leave town.

personally its probably my least favorite fire emblem ignoring the other remakes, the rpg mechanics like random battles and dungeons are a drag that go against what makes fire emblem work so well to begin with, the balance is all over the place, and the map design manages to simultaneously be actively frustrating and incredibly lazy. the story and characters are better because unlike fates they are written by someone who understands human emotions and behavior, but the supports are mostly underwritten and so you cant really play it for the shipping like you might awakening this is a minority opinion though, most people seem to like it
