Ys II is a lot better than the first game, but that's a weird case where the sequel is basically just the second half of one thing, to the point where it's generally always sold as Ys I&II.

But them some of it isn't treated as a joke at all?? I think probably the worst thing in that whole section isn't any of the cross dressing stuff. It's the weird gay orgy sort of rapey scene if you go into the "group room" in the Honeybee Inn. If they take anything out I bet they'll remove that specifically
