The Spiders seem to have enough individual autonomy that if all a person wanted was to fight strong people, they'd probably not have an issue with it as long as the person defended the rest when necessary.

Kind of want to reread the beginning of this arc now, which of the comic reader services has the official translation? The scanlations were... muddled.
