I picked up a launch bundle for 300, and have zero regrets.

Edit: If anyone gets one, buy that stand Amazon sells. It's worth the $35 or 40.

I was gonna buy that stand but saw a few reviews that said it killed controllers which made me a little :ohdear:

Also, I really hoping an Elite Dangerous VR mode or something similar comes out soon. I need my VR flying fix.

Yeah I played that for a little bit. I enjoyed it but not nearly as much as I thought I would have. The idea of having a game like ED or Freelancer in VR would be amazing.

poo poo are PSVRs easy to get now? I should sell mine while I can maybe kinda break even. Maybe get one down the line, or the PSVR 2.0

The next iterations will definitely be better. It's not bad for a starter, but yeah

So my cpu has been overheating like mad. Initial temps like 150-170 on startup. So I get a coolermaster hyper 212 evo. Initial temps are now 90.

gently caress sake. I knew the fan/sink that came with the cpu wasn't great but god drat.

That would have to be Fahrenheit, because most any CPU above around 90°C is going to trigger a shutdown.

150-170°F is around 65-75°C, which really isn't that hot, either. It's on the warm side, but not worrisome. I'd be worried if it stayed above 75°C under load, just because that's pushing the envelope a bit much.

Either contact with the stock sink or the thermal compound itself was prob hosed, the days of basic bitch Intel/AMD heatsinks being complete garbage are mostly gone. Still not nearly as good as OEMs, but not nearly double the temp kinda bad.

It is an old computer and I had to modify the fan mounting due to how the case is setup. It is sitting about 1/2 inch above what it should be so it's not getting full use of the fan so it would be a bit cooler.

Anything under 80 degrees Celsius is perfectly fine for today's standards of GPU and CPU. The rule-of-thumb used to be 70 degrees back in my dumb modding days where I spent my sweet military euroubles on poo poo like water cooling/towers/graphic cards/fans/LEDs/fan controllers/etc. but that was more a concern to people who ran overclocked systems.

75 is perfectly fine for any normal user I'd say.

Yes it is, you can get all-in-one units for as low as $50, and the Coolermaster 212 is like the best cooler you can get before moving up to liquid cooling.

I mostly play it with a couple of friends, but I've had pretty good luck with the pubbies actually. They range from spergs to drunks, but there's fun to be had either way. Again, I wouldn't buy a PSVR just for that game, but if you're getting one, the game is fun enough to buy.

Oh hey a RS2 patch I wonder what they did.

Major Update (Hitching/Stuttering)
Addressed ‘hitching/stuttering’ that many players would experience during gameplay on all maps. Please note, this will only address those users who have 6GB+ RAM only. Please also note, players will experience slightly longer load times upon initially launching the game, as some previously ‘streamed’ content is now loaded on game client launch. As always, please be sure to report your feedback on the official Tripwire Interactive RS2: Vietnam forums:https://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/forum/rising-storm-2-vietnam/rs2-vietnam-general

Additional Crash Fixes
Fixed several crashes that would occur when players loaded between maps
Fixed a crash that would occur when in spectator mode

loving lmbo. I have had some stuttering issues at times on maps. I had no idea having 16gb of ram would be a problem for a game.
