At least, even though it was feeding into a stereotype, the DID character in Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice had an interesting visual theme and a cool gimmick. I'll be using neutral pronouns as one of their personalities is female, so for all intents and purposes, when that personality is talking it is a woman talking, she's just wearing a man's clothing (They were a showman, specialising in telling stories by becoming elaborate characters. I remember a few years back where people were theorizing that one of the villains in One Piece was born as conjoined triplets, two of which were absorbed in the womb.

So as far as "What's the dumbest thing you can come up with?" that's my guess.

Yeah, there's not really much more I can add to that. Even romhacks aren't that sadistic.

100/200/160 defenses is more disgusting overall than everything in actual Pokemon outside of maybe 100% Zygarde, which needs to drop below 50% HP to hit that form, and then it doesn't have any double weaknesses to nail it with (and partially negates the weaknesses it has via Filter), and can heal itself via mega drain.

Making it slower than Snorlax and giving it lovely offenses doesn't make up for that, especially when you're stuck with such weak junk that those base 70 offenses are still better than what you have anyways.

Could be worse, since this fight was designed before Gen 7 released: it could have had Corrosion (which lets you poison stuff irregardless of typing) and run Toxic/Ingrain/Leech Seed/Synthesis.

Are you loving kidding me guys? When I was 12 and had got my paws on Ruby (my first Pokemon game) I worked out that the reason the cut tree at the south side of Rustboro is placed where it's placed is so that you can't see it respawning when you walk out and back. This is not a difficult concept, and every official game has very carefully ensured that breakable objects are never visible onscreen when you transition into the area they appear in so that you never actually see them spawning.

How loving hard is it to wrap your head around this? This honestly offends me the most out of everything so far; it's such an utterly simple concept and yet it's absolutely necessary to 'preserve the magic' of playing the game and exploring a world.

I don't think so, we got the first badge didn't we? Even if it doesn't, since it's only level 23 for Dragon Rage, you can easily do the swap-trick to get Dragon Rage and then level down to 20 again.

The worst part is, as far as I can tell, there's no reason for that tree to be there? It's not blocking anything, there's no doorway or area exit behind it, it doesn't look like there's even anywhere for a hidden item to be. It's a completely pointless cut tree, in the worst possible place.
Someone please correct me and say there's at least a reason for this stupidity.

My guess is that they just wanted a tree there as decoration, but accidentally put in a Cut-enabled one because they're not very good at this.

Actually pretty nice, for something I slammed my face into by accident. I forgot to do any testing on how it worked, though, particularly with any three-ability Pokemon. (If I missed this part in the LP anywhere, sorry for bringing up old news.)

Yeah I covered most of the item locations from the Opal and Peridot Wards in the first major update of the LP, and that was one of them.

In this fangame where hidden abilities are considered normal abilities, that Ability Capsule runs into an issue with Pokemon with three abilities. Instead of giving you a choice between the two abilities your Pokemon doesn't have, it goes to the next Ability in the cycle.

Which means if you want say a Blitzle with Lightningrod to have Sap Sipper, you'd have to use two Ability Capsules, because the first one will shift it to Motor Drive without giving you a choice.

The PULSE Tangrowth is apparently so dastardly that it not only spawns vines, but also those cut trees as well.

Beating it makes those cut trees disappear, as well as the rest of the cut trees in the Obsidia Ward, including the one that made us go through the Slums in the first place.

And while we're on the subject of MegaPULSE Tangrowth, there's apparently a hard mode mod for this game mentioned on this game's TV Tropes page:

quote:

On June 16, 2015, a Pokémon Reborn forum user named Solarance created a mod for the game called Pokémon Reborn Hardcore (although he later passed control of the project to Commander, another Pokémon Reborn forum user). The mod seeks to make the already Nintendo Hard base game even harder; for example, it gives Gym Leaders from the fourth Gym on (as well as certain other bosses) Mega Evolutions...

Giving "Gym leaders from the foruth gym on Mega Evolutions" doesn't actually sound so extreme when we're fighting what are basically Mega Evolved Pokemon with minmaxed stats between the first and second gyms, does it.

Heck, TVTropes let me know that someone has made a "spiritual successor" to Reborn, Rejuvenation, which seems to be a spiritual successor in the way of it also having a really bad plotline that is edgy, and being more difficult.

The people who think like this (and think that Pulse Tangrowth is a good idea) don't seem to understand that Pokemon already has a hard mode designed for hardcore players: the battle tower and other various post-game facilities. The main game is designed for children, their target audience, and the battle tower is designed for more grown up players, their periphery audience.

Of course, the people who think that this stupidly edgy game is a good idea are also likely the ones who complain that the battle tower is unfair.

So says people who don't get his probability works.

When your doing dozens if not over a hundred matches in a row in which a single loss will end the streak eventually random chance will make something go wrong.
