Everyone should be generalled ... by a third party. Seriously. The hand-wringing about how we have to take over a tarnished and toxic brand isn't convincing people like me or those who reluctantly voted for Trump. Get a coalition of DSA, unions, BLM, and small farmers to start a third party. Run candidates at multiple levels across the country (unlike the Greens). Lose plenty (all?) of races (it's not like the Dems are winning), but gain positive visibility by doing so (unlike the Greens).

honestly if the dems dont get taken over (possible) or adopt a ton of progressive platforms and not gently caress over their own party members (very unlikely) the party is going to die and erode away anyways, it lost to Trump and can lose again in 2020, and if it does they'll be able to run a polished version of trump in 2024, it doesnt get any better lmao "but trump will be in jail by then" yeah im sure the GOP house is going to start impeachment hearings any day now

"The path to singlepayer and a public option is the ACA!!!" - Nancy Pelosi pelosi you loving idiot you had 8 years to get a public option out that ship sailed. you loving idiots could've campaigned on a public option with hillary and won, but it was more important for hillary to give tax credits to entrepreneurs with student loans

Ok, I just checked their site. I remember looking last year at the list of candidates on the Green's site and thinking, "That's not very many candidates at all." I still believe a party with the backing of the groups I mentioned would garner a more serious reception. The Greens are also a tarnished brand.
