So there's this person in Turku, Finland who lives in a top floor flat by the river. Every spring, for seven years in a row now, a mother duck comes by to nest on her balcony. It's a good secure place, but of course the ducklings can't get out into the river on their own so they have to be carried out in a box while the mother follows. And it's entirely excessively adorable. :kimchi:

Last night my dog was losing it at the back door, so I went outside to look and made a new friend.

I don't know her name, but she lives next door and had escaped for a few minutes to come over and lay on my patio furniture. We chatted for a few minutes then she went home.

Then today, leaving the gym, I almost got run over by a budgie. He was flapping around the door so with the help of some staff, we got him corralled into a box. Then we found a lady at the pet store down the street that could take him in for the night. She's going to look after him until they find his owner, and he gets to hang out with a couple other bird friends.
I did not get picture of the budgie, I am sorry.
