One of their guys had a sit down with Jake Solomon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpLcPIWqK18 I just want to know if Long War 2 will be compatible or if they'll work it in someway. Seems like a waste of official support of Pavonis if they were just going to make all that stuff invalid by an official expansion not too long after release of said mod-overhaul.

I don't see the problem with "Shinobi" myself. They're a stealthy class that uses a sword, and calling them "Ninjas" would make me think the developers were about ten years old.

"Scout" would've been really good. Shinobi is dumb and doesn't fit with any other class name; it's definitely the odd one out. Long War 2 Perk Pack talk. When the gently caress would I ever use the Ranger's Commisar ability? Yes. I want to execute my solder for getting mind controlled. Mod that poo poo to lightning hands. Also I seem to be getting bugs were Gunners and Sharpshooters forget how to use pistols from time to time.

You don't lose anything for it IIRC, since the LW perk pack gives multiple abilities at squaddie.

I don't think you could do random perks in XCOM 2. Waaaay too many if them are tied to a single class' secondary weapon. Like half the Ranger tree is sword stuff. And a good 75% of the Specialist and Sharpshooter perks rely entirely on their equipment. Plus it wouldn't do anything for the 3 new classes, SPARKs or PsiOps and that's the majority of classes in the game. The new AWC with the 3 random perks is probably as close as we'll get. And as the Reaper preview showed they're willing to put poo poo like Squadsight in there so
