I bet the entire series will pretend Agents of Shield and everything involving inhumans in it don't exist. At most they will avoid duplicating characters.

I'm assuming the wig will be massively CG'd in the final cut of the show.

I'm not saying it's definitely going to be amazing, but Agents of SHIELD did very well with its CG elements. Absorbing Man looked great.

A solid block of rubber, metal, and concrete is way easier to render well than a bunch of free-flowing hair.

the only interesting Inhuman is Karnak and only because of Warren Ellis. Black Bolt has a cool gimmick but I don't know poo poo about his personality and he looks boring as gently caress in that trailer. Medusa and Crystal have bad names and bad powers.

The gambit to replace mutants with Inhumans is pretty bad in general and I wish we could just loving have a high-quality X-Men show on HBO or something instead.

There are no movie crossover characters, but it's hands down the best X-Men-related media out there.

Wow, everything about that Inhumans trailer looks lame as gently caress, and their renditions of the comic designs are terribad. Should've gone with whoever's giving us Kirby-as-all-hell Thor 3 aliens.

The guy they got for Black Bolt has a constant "first day at this new job I really need" face.

I don't think they explicitly say, but an easy assumption is that his base power is basically meta-power manipulation, which lets him enhance others or steal their powers by transferring into their body, as we see him do at the beginning and try to do to Xavier. Presumably he did the same, not shown in the movie, for a teleporter, matter manipulator, etc.

I thought it was something like being able to "untap" the powers of mutants. Like I remember in the comics there was all kinds of stuff about "second mutations" and developing powers as you get older and having to beef up your powers, and I thought Apocalypse basically just has the ability to turn off the parental controls and let you tap into all your raw power at once or something.

Black Bolt has been a stoic King who has always had to make hard decisions for his People and survival for his civilization first and attempt at necessary rule is above himself too. He does have a cool power that can shatter reality if focused and tuned but needs an actor IMO who is great at conveying through expression and body language.

This is opposed to a Namor who is an anti hero ultra dick man whore King of Atlantis and noble, just, wise, intelligent, skilled and excellent King TChalla the Black Panther of futuristic Wakanda.

Oh and then there's Dr. Doom of Latveria. I think those are the major royalty players in Marvels Earth.

I'm going to pretend for a moment that I didn't already know this and point to this nerdy which indicates that his base power is total molecular control over his own body. The movie version doesn't seem quite that omnipotent (no size changing, shapeshifting, etc.) but he seems basically immortal short of total disintegration and able to massively augment his own physiology at will. Though we see him already powered up and with access to alien technology in the past so it's hard to tell where his innate mutant powers end and his assimilated/tech-granted abilities begin.

We know it's not this in the movie because we're shown and told that the Oscar Isaac-looking mutant he transfers himself into at the beginning, that he spends the rest of the movie looking like, is where he gets his healing and immortality.
