I came up short on a long shot assassination with a gladiator vs Kreuger. Morg3 needs a lot more finesse than I thought he would and the Woldwyrds really made not enjoy having upkeeps on my dudes. Gonna chalk it up to my first game with Morg3 and needing a better list and more familiarity, but it feels like Nihilators are the wrong choice in every list in Mk3.

The amount of clearing they can do under his feat can be monstrous. Reivers are what have really made the list hum for me, from memory at a SR last weekend I played: Morg Marketh Despoiler Gladiator Cyclops Shaman Willbreaker Min Handlers Nihilators Reivers+UA. Mirage let's the reivers aim pretty freely and goes on Morghoul around turn 3 to turn his threat range up.

The battle engines were already popular so a lot of us were chomping at the bit to try out the new rules. And me with rhulic didn't see a point in playing until the new center piece of every list was in war room proper. If something is in CID that really changes how someone s going to build their lists I can see them taking a break. Especially if they have a second game like I do

Hey folks. Haven't touched the game since the Mk3 update and was thinking of getting back in and/of giving away some of my models to curious friends. I assume the faction metas have changed. Is there a good write up or podcast that covers some of these differences? E.G. I know someone who likes the look for Khador jacks but I don't know if Khador if Khador is an infantry-heavy faction.

Its what most games companies should be doing. I think back to a older gw WD magazine battle with new codex for undead vs something or other. The GW guy playing vampires never, through the whole battle, used the basic spell all their mages have to spam resurrect things or refill wounds on models. Either no idea how to play it or internationally so. Immediately on release ppl spammed units an cheapo mages in droves. It was a nightmare. Cross-posting my Ashlynn from the Oath thread. It's been a long-rear end break from painting WMH (not including my Throne from last month). You can use it to get your cat to charge for free and it extends the threat range by a fair amount.

Ugh, Maelok needed a 4 to cast Mortality on a bunch of Halberdiers jamming him and gators up so I rolled a 3. I decide this needs to happen so I recast it and roll... a 3. GG dead game gently caress everything PS: Sacral Vault owns oh my god. Also Maelok feat is strong.

Loki with Primal charged a Reckoner with Arcane Ward up. Need 5s. Proceeded to roll nothing but 4s, 3s and a snake eyes. Thankfully Storm Raptor was able to help save the day. Wild Aggression from Kromac really helps fix that terrible Mat of his.

On feat turn, I would normally make like 13 boosted magic attacks, so it's a lot of rolling 3 dice. Even so, the odds of getting triple 1 is like 1 in 127 or something isn't it? In this league I got trip ones 9 times. It was just... Nightmarish.

If we're still sharing my Grim2 cannot hit anything with Mortality. In two back to back games in one night he missed a boosted cast on a knocked down model. Three times. Anything but 1's. Three ones everytime. This usually after one if his Pyg hunters needs an absurd roll to KD the thing in the first place.

I've played against dorfs back in Mk2, before I lost myself in the modeling and hobby side of things, and Drillers just loving ruin hopes and dreams day in and day out. With the new rules for the Crawler, I can totally see them being an even bigger pain in the rear end. Was it a single list tourney, or did you just not have two lists ready for whatever reason?
