Body Expertise affecting bulldozers was too easily broken the way they did it, since DMRs can be fired full auto. If it restricted DMRs it'd be less silly. I also don't think Body Expertise should be split the way it is; the basic amount is pretty much never worth it while Overkill basic is incredibly powerful and the ace is just a small bonus as far as I'm concerned.

And what about the fact it doesn't do full headshot damage now?

90% doesn't move the key breakpoint much. A KSP still can get there, although notably a minigun cannot. I'm honestly reasonably happy with where Body Expertise wound up, especially compared to poo poo like Unseen Strike that doesn't work at all, or the nonsensical "Ammo Efficiency" ability atop the Sharpshooter tree.

Also I have a new Gambler build! I never felt like I should be bringing docbags + inspire when I'm spending my perk deck entirely on team assist stuff that restores health and ammo teamwide, and I noticed the ammo bags I tended to carry instead were pretty superfluous considering the teamwide ammo restore from gambling, so I've started playing Gambler as a fire trap/trip mine build and it's pretty fuckin' fun. The full set of breaching charges definitely opens up how a lot of maps play and make it so I don't really miss ditching drill skills. The fire trap tripmines create strategic choke points that fill up with teamwide health/ammo restore drops! There's enough points left for either a full suite of silencer skills and a decent oppressor setup for Lil Friend + UZi/MicroUZI/Tec-9 fun, or going basic overkill with Little Friend + Street Sweeper or AA12 + Arbiter.

Is this still true when you remember full headshot damage is 125%?

Edit: Yes. 32 becomes 44.44 and a silenced KSP can shoot well over that.

Exactly. It takes silencer skills but those are a good idea with an LMG anyway just to bump up stab/acc, and 44.44 is reachable with only basic specialized killing for KSP, RPK and Brenner, probably others as well.

Depends on just what you're trying to do, but from common likes:
Primary:
Rifles - JP36 (basically infinite ammo bullet hose), CAR-4 (DMR kit in particular), Clarion (high conceal bullet hose), Little Friend (Grenade launcher with a gun attached)
LMG - Brenner (most accurate), Buzzsaw (best for bipods), KSP (middle ground, deep ammo pool)
Shotguns - IZHMA (concealable auto shottie), Breaker (slow heavy hitter), Raven (concealable middle ground)
Snipers - Thanatos (mass damage)
Other - Akimbo Interceptors (best rounded akimbo pistols), GL40 (concealable explosives)

Secondary:
Pistol - Bronco (stupid damage + concealment), 5/7 AP (shield-piercing, high damage), Broomstick (pocket DMR)
SMG - CR 805B/Krinkov (high damage accurate backup), Micro Uzi (concealable bullet hose)
Shotgun - Judge (high damage concealable), Goliath (high capacity Dragons Breath launcher), Locomotive (good all-arounder)
Other - Arbiter (super-accurate grenade launcher), Commando 101 (the RPG+)

A lot of other weapons are just as good/interesting/niche useful, but those are what I hear people talk about the most often.

Eh, I've mostly stopped with the China Puff in favor of the Arbiter, personally. The range, larger magazine, higher total ammo and faster reload beat out the extra damage. Sure sometimes you need that second grenade, but you've got two and a half times the ammo.

juliuspringle posted:

CAR's not a great weapon over all, but it really shines with the DMR kit. It's workable normally and is flexible, but it's pretty bland stat-wise. The Gruber's interesting, though. Great ammo pickup, very concealable. Somebody posted up a Gruber crit build recently that's been interesting to use lately.

Having Winters shields replace normal shields is ok as a modifier but they need to tone down the numbers. They have about 10x the HP and take less damage, but that's not even the biggest problem. This biggest problem is they're physically a much larger unit than normal shields and can hem players into corners, stunlocking them for all intents and purposes. Plenty of maps, of course, occur in confined spaces. That is neither a fun nor fair way to lose. For balance purposes, their spawn needs to be reduced.

Also, converting the new zeal sniper unit seems to crash the game. Anyone else get this problem?

I tried the build with the smoke-grenade that gives the buffs. I am sure you can make some real broken poo poo out of that, but for me, as a stupid dodge build runner, it really doesn't offer enough actual dodging.

chairface
Oct 28, 2007

No matter what you believe, I don't believe in you.

The thing with Sicario's dodge is that, much like Biker's regen procs, it gets better the worse you happen to need it at the moment. Getting hit increases your chance of dodging the next attack with Sicario, and a successful dodge restores armor, so it winds up being a much more consistent defense than traditional dodge for crook/rogue/burglar. The smoke grenade is also an excellent "oh poo poo" button that can definitely get you through some rough spots. Much like rogue/crook/burglar, Sicario occasionally has to health tank while lacking any built-in health regen, so bringing along jokers for the bonus health + movespeed and taking basic hostage taker to get any health regen at all is highly recommended.

Honestly I consider Sicario up there with Kingpin and Maniac as a valid buddy for the Crew Chief + Gambler team since the smoke grenade benefits everyone and compliments concussion grenades so well for moving through bad situations unharmed. Sicario also gains a lot of benefit from having a Crew Chief around to give the Sicario bonus health, stamina and damage reduction, and having the Gambler around to provide badly-needed health restore and the always-popular ammo procs. It's a good deck standalone and it's a good deck in the whole Crystal Gem Thief team setup.
