Well... he showed up to happy hour/national delegate fundraiser raffle tonight. As far as I saw he did not buy a ticket and I didn't really see him chatting too much but he was on the other room so idk maybe he did. I did not get a chance to talk to him at all. It's weird, he's real thirsty for our endorsement and we are still nothing at all locally so even if he gets our endorsement we can't even offer him poo poo, we're enough to maybe canvas a single neighborhood.

update on inland empire: the guy who has been most involved ended up reaching out to national to start our organizing committee and we found out you need a diverse, committed, core of organizers to form it and we lost a lot of energy. The most committed members were all men, and I was the only Chicano. There are a lot of committed and passionate people in the I.E., but a lot are working with different groups and it's really hard to meet regularly when we're all spread out over a huge geographical area. I actually haven't been to a meeting in a long time because my work schedule changed and made it really inconvenient to drive to downtown San Bernardino, and then I also ended the longest relationship of my life and had to move out which was incredibly stressful. I've stayed in contact with everyone tho and another group of people trying to organize a riverside DSA reached out to me so that might turn into a new, separate thing. The guy trying to start the riverside OC says it's crazy to make one group for a huge area like the inland empire and I might agree. This probably doesn't matter to most people but I do remember there was at least one other goon in the area Also I'm going to the convention as an observer so if any goons wanna hang out hit me up. In this thread or @InlandEmpireDSA

Sorry the world changed around you and all those lonely years of eating poo poo were followed by a new world that just blew right past you, but this kind of resentment seems really harmful, buddy. Top-down control seems like it would stifle a lot of what those local chapters are doing.

I get what you're saying about it sounding top-down, but I don't get that impression after reading the whole document. And I really think a system like this would only benefit everyone, including the big cities.
