Responding to a distress call from people who died over a thousand years ago, that's kinda haunting.

Picard is hyped about exploring the derelict ship because it reminds him of the ships in a bottle he built when he was a kid, but I wonder if he'll still be hyped when he sees a Promellian skeleton

This happened four seconds later and the answer is yes, he's still as hyped

Geordi asked Whoopie what the first thing she looks for in a man is. She said his head. Geordi and I both came up with wrong guesses for what that meant, he thought "mind" and I thought "she's a phrenologist"

For an archaeologist skeletons are just friends who don't get to meet you.

I'm being facetious but there's a cool roman gravestone that invites you to sit down and rest while you read about this dude lying here and then says bye at the end. Skeletons can be cool too.

Link? A quick Google search turned up a gladiator whose gravestone hinted he was killed by referee error, but not that specific entry.

Thanks! (e: in case anyone else is wondering, the relevant bit is right near the end of the video.)

Also, on a completely unrelated note, I hit up a Next Gen transcript site to jog my memory on which episode Jeb! is watching. While I was there, something caught my eye. I hereby present some useless trivia:
  • There are 48 episodes out of TNG's 178 episodes (about 27%) that contain the word 'the' in their titles.
  • Of these, 41 episodes (about 23%) have the word 'the' as the first word in their titles.
  • Season three has the most occurrences of 'the', with fully half of the 26 episode titles containing 'the' and 11 of those (42.3%) at the start of the title. Season two has the second-highest occurrence, squeezing nine 'the's (40.9%) and eight initial 'the's (36.4%) into an abbreviated 22-episode run.
  • By contrast, seasons six and seven, between them, have only six occurrences of 'the' in the title, and only half of those begin an episode. That's about as many as in seasons 1 (7/6), 4 (6/6), and 5 (7/7).
  • Jeb! is currently smack dab between the second-longest ('The Ensigns of Command', 'The Survivors', 'Who Watches the Watchers', and 'The Bonding') and longest ('The Enemy', 'The Price', 'The Vengeance Factor', 'The Defector', 'The Hunted', and 'The High Ground') runs of 'the' titles, with only his current episode, 'Booby Trap', between them. Needless to say, these are all season three episodes.

Star Trek radiation is like doing a titration. You can go right up to the limit without even noticing and everything is fine, but you go one smidgen over and everything goes to hell all at once.

It's been that way since the original series.
