Responding to a distress call from people who died over a thousand years ago, that's kinda haunting.

Picard is hyped about exploring the derelict ship because it reminds him of the ships in a bottle he built when he was a kid, but I wonder if he'll still be hyped when he sees a Promellian skeleton

Geordi asked Whoopie what the first thing she looks for in a man is. She said his head. Geordi and I both came up with wrong guesses for what that meant, he thought "mind" and I thought "she's a phrenologist"

I'm being facetious but there's a cool roman gravestone that invites you to sit down and rest while you read about this dude lying here and then says bye at the end. Skeletons can be cool too.

Thanks! (e: in case anyone else is wondering, the relevant bit is right near the end of the video.) Also, on a completely unrelated note, I hit up a Next Gen transcript site to jog my memory on which episode Jeb! is watching. While I was there, something caught my eye. I hereby present some useless trivia:

"Every time you look at this engine, it's me. Every time you touch it, it's me." Geordi is clearly one of those guys who calls his car by female pronouns and wants to gently caress it, and this hologram isn't helping.

Jeb! Repetition posted:So wait they're going to get an almost-fatal dose of radiation if the plan works? Star Trek radiation is like doing a titration. You can go right up to the limit without even noticing and everything is fine, but you go one smidgen over and everything goes to hell all at once. It's been that way since the original series.

The holoporn engineer makes complete sense once you remember back to season 1 and the Binar holodeck upgrade, i.e. a deliberate plot to make the holo-ladies so irresistibly alluring that you will completely forget about mortal danger just to get with them.

He kissed the hologram on the lips. What a loving waifu haver. It's even worse than when Riker did it, because he just wanted a hologram that'd make him feel irresistible like his hero Captain Kirk, he didn't actually fall in love with it.
