i don't think hillary would have been good obama campaigned on a public option and pretty leftward in 08, and we got some really bad centrism instead. hillary ran as a bad centrist in 2016, so she'd probably govern as a right-winger like macron is and the centrist dems would all be going "mmm love me some war with iran! right to work legislation! poor people are racist!"

Every time some celebrity or politician hack gets on Twitter and spouts sarcastically, "But her e-mails," they don't realize they sound like Republicans saying, "I miss George W Bush" in 2012.
