For some inexplicable reason I'm always skeptical going into a Gary Numan song but he always wins me over by the chorus. :3:

They're earworms.

Well that was fast. I guess I have to listen to it. Geeze!

Re: Numan, he won me over so hard with Splinter. I love that album so much beginning to end and it's something I'll actually listen to on vinyl all on its own.

Re: Scheuber, hah yeah. It's not as ...punchy as his first one, but perhaps more 'mature' if that makes any sense. I'm enjoying it six tracks deep. Right to the top of my 60 hour queue.

The Lionhearts song/Seabound demo Murder I think might be based on Edmund Kemper. I first heard about him on this podcast episode: http://swordandscale.com/sword-and-scale-episode-92/

That is a pretty cool baby.

Anyone know what the setlist for Prey & Obey tour is? For Ghostfeeder, Julien-K and PIG. I'm guessing they play in that order.

isn't the PIG drummer doing double duty for Julien-K, I wouldn't be surprised if they were swapped if that's the case.

I think it's actually the Julien-K drummer who was pulled into PIG because they booted Joe Letz. So yeah you're right, JK then GF then PIG would make sense.

I wonder how Joe's repentance thing is going.

3TEETH tonight was loving incredible. Great show and they were super cool and hung around after the show and chatted with people til the venue kicked us out. Not sure what it is but Alexis sounds MUCH better in person than a lot of the video recordings I've seen. Maybe it was Boston hometown magic ;)

Also he gave his mom a shoutout because she was in the audience, awww

The human animal is a beautiful and terrible creature, capable of limitless compassion and unfathomable cruelty.
A friend of mine saw 3Teeth the other night in DC and said that while they didn't fill the room they were incredibly cool about it and played to the nines anyway. I'm not terribly surprised.

There is some new NIN. It sounds just like old NIN but for some reason has a Llamasoft game in the video, which is unexpected.

The Taurus didn't offer much for drivers craving the sport sedan experience. That changed with the 1989 debut of the Ford Taurus SHO (for Super High Output), a Q-ship of the finest order that offered up a high-revving Yamaha-designed V-6 engine and a tight sport suspension.

It doesn't sound anything like old NIN, it just uses retro sounding synths. Song is alright, better than the stuff from Hesitation Marks, but the video is definitely what makes it.

I only just became aware of the dude's music through the IDYD Slack channel but holy gently caress does Dharmata 101 resonate with me on a really deep level. Strong flashbacks to Daimonion and NUN-era Project Pitchfork even though the production is quite a bit different. There's something about the atmosphere (and the themes) that reminds me of it I guess. Also I love the musical side of it

Edit: Current fav track is Emancip8, maybe give that one (and the album it's on) a try if you're interested.

Seeming have their new album Sol out shortly. It's not quite rivethead bleep as we know it, but Alex Reed from Seeming turns out to be the same S. Alexander Reed who wrote the book Assimilate about industrial music. Here, have some Seeming.
