i can see a lot of diff paths for america to exit its current mode of capitalism, violent revolution, a populist political movement, mass disobedience/refusal to participate, but there's no way i can see anarcho-syndaclism/anarcho-communism being implemented in a meaningful way as a direct shift from capitalism

anarchism is a way for people to sound smart & radical without being too offensive, 'yeah man gently caress authority' resonates because everyone has had issues with authority figures at some point in their lives, but it poses absolutely no threat to the already established order, because they know that 99% of people will happily rush into their arms if their alternative is literal anarchy

when your opposition consists entirely of the kids of rich people cosplaying the 'rebel' archetype, you have absolutely nothing to fear, doubly so when they self-castrate their own rhetoric for the purposes of not appearing too dangerous, which is what 'well actually we oppose all authority' amounts to the simple fact that anarchism isn't actually that intimidating to the powers-that-be is a large component of why it's survived to the point it has, while communists groups get wrecked by COINTELPRO and so on - the intelligence agencies know what the real threat is

college educations are good, but part of the reason college degrees 'worked' was because they were a second-order signifier for class - as they become more ubiquitous, they lose that status, and so carry less of a benefit all this to say: under capitalism, the value of your labor is determined by it's scarcity/how replaceable it is, not by it's productive utility, nor by how undesirable it is - your wage level is a measure of power & the leverage you can wield, not how hard you work. so conservatives/reactionaries are right but for the wrong reason - they fetishize hierarchy/elitism and so reflexively defend any system that 'sorts' people (doubly so when the people at the bottom are not like you - racial minorities, women etc.), but the rationalization is based on this expressing a 'natural' order that's realized, when the truth is the reverse.
