So why is it that if my Switch goes in to sleep mode I have to reset it to get it back online via wifi when docked? I'll probably get a cheap USB-Ethernet adapter and go wired at some point but until then it's really dumb and annoying.

It had online play, but it required either the dial-up or broadband adapter and maybe five people max played the thing online.

It might be because I'm jet-lagged and not thinking clearly, but Shephy is really hard. I'm sure there's just some optimal order I'm supposed to play the cards in that I haven't stumbled upon, but it seems basically impossible to keep sheep alive in the game. Even if you cracked the game, it's not much more than a diversion. There just isn't a large enough variety in what the cards do.

if there was an on-screen map in SP, that was disabled. also, any progress you made in unlocking new stages wasn't saved in MP.

All indications remain that it is a very easy machine to develop for, people are just a bit ridiculous with the expectations. Good games take years to make (and even a properly planned out port of an ambitious game is likely to be hitting the even year plus), and it is not that surprising that most developers held off to see how the initial sales looked before jumping on.

It's a mouse cursor based game. Shoehorning console controls into it takes it from an 8 to like a 3.

It works fine for the game it's based on. I do hope that the Switch version has reworked controls though since the gamepad controls for the PC version are dogshit.

I was about 600 posts behind this thread and read this. Clicked the link and ordered the Switch this morning. I just received notice that it has shipped. By Monday I should have a Switch in hand. Thank you for your update.

After many visits to various Targets and being laughed out the store for missing the last Switch by a couple of hours, Amazon is the perfect way to buy the Switch. Perfect.

You mean like 500 levels + training bonuses? seems a little too insane for me.

Only thing I know about is getting 50k in each stat statistician, popping them in the item, and getting the training bonus or whatever for extra stat boosts.

I need to build up a tank Sicily though so it can grab any attention my Sage doesn't manage to kill because bosses never die.
