Sure, but then the xim driver is updated to smoothly transition the stick over the intervening angles when the pressed keys change and now you can't tell the difference any more. Sony doesn't want to get into this sort of cat and mouse game, the number of xim users is too small to be really disruptive and games can keep them away from the general population with SBMM.

I am saying that I bet a couple of software engineers at Sony/MS/whoever could heuristically detect a XIM with high accuracy and not a lot of work.

Not to mention most the people using XIM are loving poo poo. I get a lot of messages about my setup and play style from people who bought XIMS. I watch their gameplay. They are more often than not bad. Not to sound like a smug rear end in a top hat but you shouldn't be using me as a yardstick of what a XIM user is like. There aren't many people who have been using a XIM for 7 years.

All a XIM can potentially enhance is gun skill, and even that is still up to the player. If you suck at everything else gun skill won't matter because you'll be hunted down, out maneuvered, and dead before you can get a shot off.

It depends on the game, but I think for Destiny, the xim is good for people who are much more comfortable with mouse and keyboard. If you were already a good controller player, you probably wouldn't benefit unless you played with it for a long time. This is how I feel, anyway. But I also switched to a monitor at the same time as I started using a xim and it's hard to understate how helpful it is to play on a monitor vs a TV. I let me friends who've been playing destiny for a while try my setup and it doesn't really help them.

My observation has always been that you have an ability to make split second decisions that are very difficult to implement but you do so anyway. And that your overall movement/placement and situational awareness are leagues above most. And you just have a certain je ne sais quois that can't be explained away by a controller choice.

I like the bungie have left their retard crew to run destiny1 into the ground. The only thing left to do is play pvp so they make it the lamest game mode for iron banner, have two versions of rumble and the worst possible iteration of sixes outside of mayhem as the only 6 man play list. To top it off their servers have gotten worse in the last week causing massive issues in the one game mode people still play weekly.
