two new maxkey sets are filtering out of china: maxkey ninja (black on black)  maxkey dolch  although i'm glad to see this show up (portland had flat greys versus these proper more brown tinted greys, in line with proper dolch), i have to point out that we're coming up on signature plastics having an arguably similar value for $25 more with it's less gaudy arrow keys and a bonus red esc key. signature plastics set is however offered in a dsa profile, so if you're after an sa set maxkey obviously pulls ahead. sp dsa dolch

well i mean if you're game to diy the poo poo out of this, the caps exist and are ready to ship right now: https://deskthority.net/wiki/R6_leftovers can't promise a perfect 1:1 match, but via the hyper7 stuff you should be able to kitbash something convincing the switches on the ace models aren't soldered, so grab a cheap one here: https://acepads.en.alibaba.com/ the symbolics cases should be simple enough to make or get fab'ed, as long as you can figure out the dimensions

years ago I remember seeing a sort of separate laptop keyboard that you could use with a desktop. i think it a thinkpad branded thing? anyway it had the little nipple mouse on it as well. wasn't chicklet keys though. I have blues at the minute but shamefully type much faster on a lappy keyboard. haven't had much luck finding anything like that though.

you've got enough bits in the base kit to completely omit the fucky novelties, and while i agree this looks fairly dumb like their nuclear set, it's again a sign that custom molds are doable i just hope they get someone with actual good design opinions to jump in soon, because man they're wasting opportunities here

I feel like if they tried a little harder they could have used the black keys to make a bat logo. It would still look like poo poo with the colors, but at least more interesting than slapping random images on a few keys.
