On the other hand, I'd imagine if you could catch and tame (ish) them, mimic chairs would fetch a far higher price than just boring old regular chairs. Also a fun prank when playing musical chairs!

I am wondering if this here gold is about to get got by a chair. I'm not certain what that does for both the devil and the furniture power rankings.

I think Charon or his followers killed the accountant, which might be why the room is now infested with flesh-eating ( and thus much more valuable) gold and furniture.

Bah, in D&D, you can have a room where: - the floor is a monster trying to eat you - the ceiling is a monster trying to eat you - stalactites and stalagmites are also monsters trying to eat you - the walls are covered in monsters trying to eat you - any form of apparent treasure is actually a mimic or a bag of devouring - and why not, the actual empty volume of the room in also a monster trying to eat you

I wonder how the different kinds of mimics are related to each other? Are chair and coin mimics the same same species? Different stages of life? Different breeds? Different but related species? Please give me the deep mimic lore, Operant.

If the fortress is an infinte fractal, it would make sense for it to actually extend further out than people think, as to potentially catch intruders unaware. What I'm saying is that the entire cast has been replaced with mimics.
