Saw Spiderman: Homecoming

Ned > Vulture > Spiderman > sleepy Robert Downey Jr > Spiderman's badly dubbed voice > MJ > Disney's Marvel's Star War's Lego's Death Star

MJ as a rebellious quirky teen who doesn't like the man was there for comic relief but it just reminded me of all the kids I knew in high school who tried to be 'that kid' and it came off as annoying. The person I went to the theater with who thinks protesting is a fun activity CLAPPED for MJ's fight the power attitude. Bad news for her though, all of Spiderman's love interests end up dead or hating him or sometimes exiled in another dimension with amnesia. My friend also complained that Aunt May wasn't given enough to do but considering Aunt May is usually just there to be in danger or almost catch Peter being Spiderman (which is always the most boring part of a spiderman movie) I don't know how she could've really added to it.

Also, CG was laughable in some scenes.

Aunt May was in it the perfect amount. At 15, you're doing everything in your power to distance yourself from your parent figures and gain a sense of independence. It wouldn't make sense if Peter was hanging around with her all the time, and I'm glad she wasn't used as a damsel in distress.

I hope some day DC makes a movie where Batman is a 15 year old autistic kid and most of the movie is pointless high school drama.

I'm gunna say it's the best Batman movie ever made, much better than the dark Knight or Tim Burton's Batman.

The scene on the outside of the plane had one good sight gag, but the rest of it was kind of garbage, and they tried to make it cloudy and smoky to make up for that fact. But yeah, the whole movie was fantastic.

Whoever ran her wardrobe did a really good job of making her look like just some dude's aunt, though. Like, still hot under most conditions, but weird grandma pants pretty much constantly. It was one of my biggest problems with the film.

Married normal age Spiderman is boring, we have so many adult aged superheroes already. Him having to juggle a high school life is what makes him interesting.

Spiderman doesnt exist and can be whatever the writers/directors/creators/etc. want him to be. There are no "spider man facts" that need to be adhered to and understood in order to get spiderman "correct". They can decide that spider man is actually a black trans woman who doesnt have any superpowers, and it will be no less accurate or "wrong" than anything else.

You cant and wont. Nor should you. All these things are invented, theyre not real. They are interchangeable with each other because theyre all just ideas. Go ahead and make all the superheroes clones of each other, it doesnt matter.

You can define a spiderman. A spiderman is a young wimpy photographer who got bit by a radioactive spider. He has dead parents, an uncle deadben who died telling him to be responsibility, and an auntmay who is in danger is hot to older guys and sometimes villains. He gets spidersense which makes him unhittable except for the times he gets hit. He shoots a web. He likes MJ/Gwen/Other but can't reveal that he's a spiderman. He has a friend named harry who is a goblin. And he fights the bad guys named after animals and talks a lot doing it.

But yes, everything fictional is a mental construct.

Amazing that people can move on and heal and not talk about their dead parental figure constantly. Almost like life goes on and it's bad to obsess about tragedy.

Nobody really gives a poo poo what "they" are within their legal rights to do. I mean Marvel could release all new Spiderman comics with nothing but blank pages, because it's all made up nonsense. But no one would ever really consider doing that so why talk about how it's technically a possibility, unless you're an insufferable internet twat who wants to show how smart he is.
