Our current AG has a hateboner six miles high for drug offenses, and loves mandatory minimums in sentencing. One of his first policy memos was to instruct federal prosecutors to pursue charges that carry a mandatory minimum sentence preferentially. As a Congressman he worked to oppose sentencing reform for non-violent drug crimes for just that reason.

All it takes to make the state laws not matter when pot's still illegal federally is the DOJ putting enough pressure on, say by refusing to distribute funds to state and local police agencies unless they agree to turn over info to the feds so that they can try and prosecute legal pot sellers on such things as violating anti-terrorism banking laws by not keeping their profits in banks where the feds can seize them.

There will be such an enormous pushback if Sessions tries anything like that that he'll be a smoking hole in the far wall. Legal pot is out of the bag and it aint going back in, esp with even federal Republicans getting on the legal pot train.

Don't take this the wrong way, because I am legitimately asking and not being snarky or anything like that. I have not heard of this before, but are you saying that there are laws (under the guise of anti-terrorism) that state business profits have to be kept in banks?

On the other hand, I've heard that the (maybe some of the) banks won't take money from dispensaries because it's made illegally on a federal level.

It's a lot of the latter, with banks not wanting to handle money that might be of unsettled legality/bad PR (the adult industry has similar issues) but there are totally controls on having/moving large amounts of cash*. I'm sure it wouldn't take too much for a motivated prosecutor to convince a grand jury that maybe Kind Mountain Green Medicine Co is maybe violating some sort of statute. And I'm sure if there was pressure on the IRS, it could get very uncomfortable for high-revenue unbanked businesses.

*It's been a while so I don't recall specifics, in no small part because I never handle anything other than tiny sums of cash. :(

I switched from smoking rollies to an e-cig a few years ago. I don't regret it, but I would say you should do so with caution. They are their own addiction beast altogether, and they aren't any easier to quit.

It's very easy to get into the habit of smoking it far, far more regularly than you would cigarettes - I found myself semi constantly puffing away in front of the tv or on a long drive. I now only "smoke" in the kitchen at when I'm at home, and I use it a lot less. I would suggest setting up similar rules.

There are also some unknowns in terms of health effects - although I would still prefer those to the known health effects of proper smokes.

If you are a smoker, have tried giving up multiple times and failed, or kind of want to give up but aren't fully motivated, or just plain don't want to quit but want to try something "healthier" then e-cigs are a good idea. If you can quit straight up, don't take up efags. If you don't smoke at all DONT TAKE UP VAPING FOR FUCKS SAKE.

I rubbed up against the fence backing into my driveway years ago and broke the mirror. It was pretty cheap to get replacements at a junkyard, like maybe $60 for two power mirrors (I took both because they were black instead of body color). Once you take the trim off the door it's just a couple of bolts.

I smoked for about 5 years, quit 6 years ago. Only times I smoked during the quit era were bummed smokes on the two shittiest days I had at my last job (which I quit a month later in 2013), this is my first multi-pack relapse.

I don't really like the idea of smoking, but I find I can focus on work for a while after a smoke, in a way that caffeine no longer does for me.

Oh yeah that sounds awful familiar. Smoking got me through my last two years of uni... probably something to do with my at the time undiagnosed ADHD. Mostly quit after that, was just a social smoker for years, then relapsed fully when I went from struggling at work to really struggling at work.

If you are going to end up smoking anyway, then ecigs are a better way to go.

I stared at this for about 20m and I can't even identify a single part of it as belonging to something I recognize. The radiator position is way back like a GT. Everything else is completely batshit. Custom weird poo poo usually keeps the original cowl/windshield/partial roofline and that's not even close to right for a GT.

That looks like a two door Opel Ascona (1900 in the USA) that was shortened behind the door and lengthened in front of it. The wheel wells were also moved up to lower the body, especially in the front.

Later years, 1975 I think, had the tail lights wrap into the side of the car. Looks like 1971 style bumpers on a chopped 1975

Thanks, I agree... in looking, I think that 25k is right about where it's at. Leaves for about 5k profit, but not enough to make it worthwhile. When I first started looking, it seemed (seems?) like they bring a lot more money in England...
