a bone to pick posted:No joke, one of the plot points of the new spider-man movie is spider-man is trying to get to the spelling bee but gets trapped in a loading dock for trucks. It was a science quiz. Like I know you're going for "too cool to pay attention to movies I pay for" but it's more like "too dumb to follow a marvel movie" if you can't tell the difference between spelling a word and answering a science question.

Also "a loading dock for trucks" is actually "an extremely secure secret government facility" but that sounds cooler/interesting and a bone to pick just wants to poo poo all over the movie. The funny thing is you're jumping all over that guy for not remembering some dumb plot detail and you don't even have it right yourself. It was academic decathlon, which is like a quiz bowl thing not a science quiz.

Spider Man was okay. Tom Holland and Keaton were great but the rest of the cast dragged a lot and it annoyed me we spent so much time with them. Flash was so annoying and not in an entertaining way.

I'd say watching ETV while high might be good because it's fairly drat boring sober. Great visuals but there's MASSIVE repetition, you basically get the exact same plot points of a large chunk of the film repeated twice. It's been a while since I saw it (caught it in the cinema whenever it came out) but I remember being disappointed. The leads are also really bad actors. Paz De La Huerta sucks so bad and I'm glad she's disappeared.

the complaint of why do they make this utterly bloated bad poo poo is you could've made the transformers movies good or at least coherent and still brought it in tons of money. they probably would've even made more. it's just the crazy laziness that's irksome - compare the first pirates movies to the latter ones...they just become utter messes. even when they do film a good scene, they cut it despite it being one of the best pieces of characterization in the series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3I0FF2i_MA "People aren't cargo, mate."
