The wind bent over my tomato plant and now I'm legit using cable ties to tie it to a stick, and I can't be sure I would have thought of it if I hadn't had cable ties on my mind from reading this thread.

Just keep an eye on it for a few days, especially if the wind persists. If things go wrong the hard edges of the tie can rub against the relatively soft vine and erode it.

I have lifehacked a shower curtain before, but it was a temporary fix and I fully admit it looked terrible. I was helping a friend move into a new apartment, and she couldn't find the shower curtain rings so we hung it up with a few coat hangers. It was super trashy, but at least she had a usable shower at the end of the day.
