Not sure, but I know there was an event where a bunch of heroes, villains and random citizens in NY got turned into spider monsters or werewolves.

I assume he means it will get more comic booky/super hero/MCU than the first season's large focus on street stuff and Luke's personal history? Which could mean anything from "Heroes for Hire" to "aliens" or something.

Space Ninjas are actually better because they can do like, nine flips in midair instead of just one or two before they hit the ground.

My thoughts exactly. Maybe worry about the tone poem of a soundtrack you're constructing once you've figured out how to make the show itself worth watching.

Luke is and always has been a Hydra operative. Jessica is a Skrull. Danny actually is really just having a mental break like in that one episode. Matt is blind.

Finally got around to Iron Fist. I did not hate it, although some of that probably owes to lowered expectations. It was still better than the end of Luke Cage.

A tv show wouldn't have to merely fail, it would have to try really hard to be as bad as the last part of Luke Cage.

I've been slowly rewatching Luke Cage when I'm at the gym, and I really do love Mariah and Shades' respective arcs in the season. Mariah unleashing her inner Mama Mabel, and Shades looking for a boss who isn't a complete loon.

And yeah, from the jump Diamondback is from a completely different show.

Been rewatching the various Marvel Netflix series, and despite feeling that every one of them made their share of missteps, I think Luke Cage is my favorite of the series to date unless you can just take episodes 1-4 of Daredevil season 2. It feels like the most genuinely street-level series - Harlem felt like a real neighborhood and community in a way Hell's Kitchen never did. Still don't care for Diamondback, but Mahershala Ali oozes sinister charm and music throughout the show is great.

Still don't care for Claire Temple getting romantic teases with seemingly every show leader, though. The character I thought she had the most chemistry with was Misty Knight of all people, and I'd love to see one of the future seasons of one of these shows address queer issues.

Jessica Jones remains the hardest of the series for me to watch, though. That show gets intensely disturbing from the word go and never lets up.

I watched the first episode of JJ and saw they were going to do the Purple Man experience and noped my way out. I read the comics and that much rape is not my idea of a series I want to watch.

The show itself doesn't have rape. It deals with JJ's trauma and uses that to establish her backstory with Purple Man.

I can understand why the subject matter may not be everyone's cup of tea, though. It's definitely the darkest of the four shows, thematically.

I'd say it's more about the aftermath of rape, which is just as disturbing. The reason people don't just kill Purple Man when they have the chance is that they want to prove that he took away their consent, make people and the justice system realize that what happened and what they did was forced on them.

If this is reminding you of something, it should.

Really hoping they manage to sneak Joe Bernthal into Defenders. I never thought I'd ever find the Punisher a compelling character until Daredevil proved me wrong, and I'd love to see how he plays off Jessica and Luke.

Actually, kind of. Danny is the majority shareholder and ambiguously-titled management of the Hand's largest front company in New York. On the one hand, he talked about trying to remove them for a day or two after discovering their presence. On the other, he got distracted and never got around to actually doing anything about it beyond destroying a warehouse in China.

(Yes, in-universe that somehow means the synthetic opium is destroyed forever and thus can't be smuggled through the company anymore. That doesn't stop the Hand from using Rand resources for whatever else they might want.)

Danny's not really good at communicating. I could see Punisher taking out a criminal businessman before Danny manages to convince him otherwise.

Doesn't seem like the type Frank goes after in this series. He targets the people who were responsible for killing his family, and offs a fence who tried to sell him child porn.

Crooked businessman doesn't seem like Frank's type of target, and it's shown that Frank does do his homework about the people he targets before he kills them.
