For any left-leaning folks who also like dry, wonky analysis explaining why socialism is a good thing, try the Wide Left podcast. It's a couple of former college debate nerds who go in-depth on why leftist politics are both sensible and beneficial to everyone, they're definitely nowhere near as much fun as the dry boys, but are a nice middle ground to recommend to centrists who may be sympathetic to leftism while being put off by all those mean ol' Chapos.

Stuff like Traister's point about the "bend the knee" language being read as gendered is whatever but I'd be pretty pissed if a prominent liberal publication embedded, without much further remarks, a tweet from a lunatic that wasn't a political critique but an unfounded accusation of being a literal rapist.

They don't have a platform, all they have is decorum policing and pearl clutching. For some reason, today has been filled to the brim with people wanting to rehash the 2016 election for the millionth time. I saw an article on The Root about Bernie Sander's Problem With Black Women, the poll stuff showing Clinton being less popular than Trump in TYOOL 2017, Garland's stupid tweet storm about how the real menace is the alt left, and a handful of other articles... and all I can think of is the Adam Curtis line about not being able to imagine a better future. We're two farts away from the 2018 machine going full blast, and the democrats are busy trying to massage and workshop their "message" because they don't have a loving platform while the sycophants are still posting slay queen and covfefe memes.
