The entire draft is meaningless. It's not necessarily about building the team that scores the most next season. Beyond just gimmick teams (like what I assumed ThinkTank was doing until his last pick) there are also just different philosophies around how you build your team. I took Drai and Hall who were Oilers, but then Suter. I'm not creative or dedicated enough to come up with and follow through on any sort of gimmick.

Looks like I can pick in about a minute? I'll edit this post. Anyway editing this to homer it up and take Cory Schneider. My team is more or less win now (although it's not really that old) and Schneider should rebound and do well with a real team in front of him. I think I'm going to go with Jake Gardiner to pair with Justin Faulk. His fancy stats seem really good considering the terrible Leafs teams he's played on, and he's coming off a breakout year that isn't bolstered by anything that looks particularly unsustainable.
