In my mind it was that old image of the crimson fists dude with a power fist in front of a nuke going off, except there were two orange dudes with power fists, multiple nukes going off and one had a banner with FIGHTING while the other had a banner with BRAWLING.

Update on BRAZEN KNIGHTS: Sweet jesus does bronze on dark blue look good. I love this scheme. I appeal to the thread for advice, however: how do I highlight bronze, and what kind of wash should I use? I've never actually painted it before.

Wash with purple, fairly thick highlights with Sycorax Bronze, then very thin highlights with Stormhost Silver. Purple wash doesn't sound intuitive, but it looks amazing on bronze or gold, imo.

Surprise, heretics. ++ THE RAINBOW COBRAS ++ A chapter of the Emperor's Adeptus Astartes, this chapter was raised during the Ultima Founding to participate in the Indomitus Crusade. They have rapidly established themselves as fearless and intimidating assault specialists, fairly demanding to lead the charge against enemy fortifications and act as linebreakers (or, less generously, as a forlorn hope). Though they do not scorn it as a tactic in general, the Rainbow Cobras do not consider stealth and infiltration to be worthy battle tactics - embodying to the fullest the Astartes credo "Have faith in your colors", they eschew trickery and cunning in favor of bold, demonstrative strikes, backed up by overwhelming firepower and the fiery pronouncements of their field commanders.  ++ COLORS ++ This individual is an Intercessor Sergeant. He is wearing the unusual color scheme of the Rainbow Cobras Chapter: a slightly iridescent, dark blue armor, reminiscent of the carapace of some beetle. The checkerboard sable signifies the Sergeant's role in an Intercessor Squad, traditionally the vanguard and fearless spearhead of any Rainbow Cobras assault. Yeah, in general there seems to be a lack of hard bitten cigar chewing 80s/Starcraft type space marines (all IG flavour I guess) Someone should do the needful and adopt the Brawling Company. Also Rainbow Cobras owns. This thread is a hell of a ride, I'm still laughing at the hippo phobia post.

Appreciate all the kind comments, but the astute will notice that I didn't convert my model at all. It was basically just a primed Primaris I had sitting in a box. I look forward to (and fully expect) someone blowing my entry out of the water with better painting, a more interesting model, better fluff, or all of the above.

I like the gray and the orange (and the gold belt is AMAZING), but I think the brown distracts from the rest of the model. How would it look with just gray and orange? I would make just the belt golden since you're clearly GALACTIC CHAMPS. JBP posted:Is this going to look poo poo? Anyone know how big the dark eldar talos tail gun is? I am the RAGING SCORPIONS so I have the awesome/stupid idea to add the tail gun as a scorpion tail for my primaris. I think it might work but I'm worried it's too big. Either way, I already bought one off ebay so I'll find out. Any other bits that might work for this? I'm thinking a cut down techmarine harness could also serve this purpose but we'll see. I'm thinking the RAGING SCORPIONS are an Iron Hands successor with some strange ideas about cybernetic modifications.

Going in a different direction with the Omege Slayers: It's mostly based off of Darkseid, because that's what Omega + Killing Everything makes me think of. (The gorget will be painted the same as the helmet/chest, I just forgot to do so in the painter). The only thing I'm not sold on is the gold for the details.
