I like that whichever guy the artist is didn't bother to draw a second fist for those inset panels. Just c&p, then doodle blood on it in MSPaint, you're fine.

I disagree, and I think that's the worst thing, all of this stuff is clearly done by hand on paper so everything gets drawn over and over without him actually getting any better at any of it. I'd be willing to bet that those darkened vertical lines are from sallen using a book or something to hold down the page while scanning it, and you can see the dark areas through the drawing. He then levels up the white areas of the picture so that the gutters look relatively pristine, which also explains why the coloring looks so harsh and why some of the thinner lines (around the dialogue bubbles for example) seem aliased.

You know, now that I look after you saying that, I can tell they're drawn differently. I think I just have such low expectations for the art in this thing I just kind of assumed they were the same.
