Yeah but I'm going to guess that the average hero takedown for nova players outside of team fights is closer to zero nowadays. We've already mentioned how she seems much worse 1v1 now. The reward from minions for staying behind is immediately present, and we shouldn't provide any incentive to nova players to play like that. They're one job is to kill people, just like all other stealthers. Except nova bad.

So after playing a lot of Valeera in the last couple days, I dunno, I really don't think that build that everyone uses is her best. At least not in QM. You can tear as with her if you open with cheap shot instead and then take the extra damage with the did on stuns plus the bonus combo. It's far more reliable since she can't chase for poo poo, and you can just straight delete a bunch of characters or completely mess up someone before they can respond, and with that armor talent at 1 you can be tough enough to easily escape or win if it ends being a legit fight.

Thing is these Nova memes about being a newbie smasher who sucks at higher levels actually accurately describe Samuro and Rexxar. Every now and then, I get someone at my level (low Plat) that thinks the "AFK splitpush laser Azmodan" strategy will work, sneaking through the jungle to snipe a keep. It usually does a lot of damage, and it's sometimes pulling teeth to get my team to respond with me, but I haven't lost to it in a long time.

This argument reminds me of the time that a guy pre-selected somebody and the person doing the banning banned his choice without realizing that it had been chosen. The dude flipped out and said he was just going to play abathur then even though the leader apologized and tried to get him to not spite pick. We basically just assumed we were hosed but then everyone including the spite picker played really well and we crushed the other team.

Apparently the story is that he was announced a week early for some chinese game convention but he'll still be released on a normal schedule, so we'll have a longer wait at some point in the process (I guess now is that time).
