He died for your sins...
Xerath apparently broke up at some point  but in their latest facebook post they linked to some sort of video-game/league of legends album that some of the guys from the band wrote with a poo poo ton of guest musicians.

Xerath's FB post posted:

The album features not only Mike and Rich on writing, drum and guitar duties but also bringing in household names like Jorn Lande (Jorn), Noora Louhimo (Battlebeast), Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails) and the Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra among many, many other performers.

It's...it's actually pretty loving good metal and I say this with extreme reservation at enjoying any music that is based on a video game that I don't play or like. Not even sure how it's related to the game at all actually and don't really care to find out. It's kind of like a lighter-weight Xerath, so that sort of "groove metal" but with guest vocalists that are more in the power metal wheelhouse instead of death.

The "almost-a-ballad": http://pentakill.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/#s/single-tear-of-the-goddess

So here's a bit of the new Wintersun. Mixed feelings...as usual there are some really good ideas and moments here but they come inbetween bits that just don't need to be there. Also, the mixing seems a little strange, especially since this guy needs a quantum computer to make music. The opening is really good, and towards the end it gets really good. I just wish he had someone there to say 'yeah, this bit just kind of doesn't go anywhere, you could chop it properly. This part is good, maybe put it earlier and come back to it at the end'/

However, overall its still pretty strong and something they can be proud of.

However, since they've also released every single isolated track, people are already remixing the songs. I'm listening to the same track as above, with the guitars brought closer to the front and its made quite a bit of difference. It'll be interesting to see what stuff people come up with.

Well, they are just random ones in the related videos, but this one for example sounds somewhat better:

I would expect to see a lot of mixes coming out soon. An orchestra+bass+drums one would be pretty funny.

I think this sounds a bit poo poo really, quite distorted and mushy. Sure the guitars in the official version are mixed a bit quiet but at least they're not clipping like that.

Master of Puppets is #1 to me, he fits the song perfectly. The way he starts the song with the crashes fits the riff really well, while I feel like other drummers would've started with the regular beat right away, and/or worked in a bunch of tom fills. Lars did it just right.
