I played through the story for the first time and I think there's more plot holes than story beats in the whole thing. It said I unlocked hard mode and I said nah out loud. Rashid was good though. Man ya'll must have bad luck, I just hopped on and had an hour of smooth matches with almost no downtime between them. Very excited for the big rear end content drop tomorrow. After the servers come back up, anyway. lol

After watching that VesperArcade dude's rundown of Abigail's normals and specials, I'm even more excited to play him. Y'know, after the 17-hour downtime, of course. Abby's got some downright evil combo potential. How can anyone hate this character? He's amazing.

Seriously, SFV is one of the simplest fighting games there is for programmatically making GBS threads out frame data due to how little there is to parse about a move's information, and they got that wrong.

I know people will stop falling for it eventually, but there's something hilarious about doing Abby's command run -> throw three times in a row, then doing the EX on the fourth when they get really mash-happy or try doing a special. I'm losing a ton, but I've never had this much fun playing SFV. Slowly getting the timing on fireball absorbs down. Having more trouble figuring out the best way to deal with super-aggressive rushdown players, though. Rashid might be Abby's worst match-up.

Isn't that move tagged to only hit airborne opponents? That kind of reminds me of how Hugo could duck High Tiger Shots despite being hit by them square in the chest. Such is the consequence of obscenely big dudes in fgs.

abigal would be unplayable if specific moves hit him standing so yeah thats like the first "haha lol check out how bad sfv is!" when theres a really obvious reason its done that way even though his height is still a weakness in many respects

maybe don't make a character that huge if the only results are constant animation clipping that looks horrible in a game that you intentionally handicapped in order to be a visually easy to understand esport that airs on ESPN or sf4 hugo vs gouken level bad matchups
