Well after owning Infinity minis for 4 years now I finally got an introductory game. Holy hell am I hooked. The mechanics are so well done and it was a blast watching both of our HI get into close combat then kill each other Reservoir Dogs style. Now I just need to find someone to take the PanO half of the beyond icestorm box.

Yeah, with an EVO hacker you can spend 1 command token for the hack that lets you form a Duo, then another token to actually form the fire team. It is pretty much never worth it.

I will add the caveat that Tohaa can of course use Fire team Triad outside of a sectorial because they don't have a sectorial and it is kind of their thing.

It largely depends on what it is you're running as a Duo. A pair of Druze troopers in vanilla Haqqislam? Not so much. A pair of Geckos in a Nomad list? Much more bang for the buck.

Heh, well, I don't know about unfair? Maybe? I think what it's going to come down to is the same thing all "one-trick pony" lists do. If your opponent happens to bring the right toys, you're gonna do terribly. If they didn't, you'll roll over them. Did your opponent bring a couple pieces of K1, some hacking, and a glue gun or two? Then no, your list isn't unfair. Did they leave those at home in favor of stacking rifles and spitfires?

Anyway, in the end it seems like your opponent will win or lose in the list building phase :p

Open in Infinity Army

Dropped Scarface for two bulleteers and the order sergeant for an evo hacker. Now you can overclock four models for ARO, have more board coverage, and an extra order, along with a palbot that could conceivably repair the Jotum or do retroengineering.

IMO even if you go with two TAGs for gimmick value, the evo hacker is like the premier Pan-O hacker. They get the most mileage out of it, I think.

Fortunately it's a solved problem.

Core is five people. It says in the stat line who has it.

Haris is three. Some units have specific profiles, some units it's all profiles.

Duo is available outside of sectorials with the Teampro hacker ability on the EVO hacker. It takes a command token to use so it's not super in demand.

Triad is specifically for Tohaa.

Enomotarchos is only for Steel Phallus.

As a note, I think Triad is the only one that doesn't require a sectorial - it can be used in any list. Which is good, as Tohaa don't have any sectorial yet.

P3 Bloodtracker Brown, then just highlighted up with P3 Menoth White Base (I think). There might have been a wash with Army Painter Strong tone in there at the beginning as well.

Wasn't something I realised either, as I haven't actually had both Tohaa and Haqq out at the same time. Have been reading through the RPG now the final PDF is out for the core, and makes me realise that I haven't actually read much of the Tohaa fluff from the HSN3 book yet for some reason.

I swear by this stuff. It's cheap, it's stupid-easy to assemble, and you don't have to spend one second painting it to have a nice looking table. It's flat-pack, so you can also throw an entire 4x4 table into an old Amazon box and be ready to go.

In particular, Anime Base blends really well with the Motronica cardboard stuff, so you've got ready and cheap smaller buildings and scatter. Maybe buy some crates and you're set.

E: Actually on that note, anybody have any recommendations for some decent scatter? I've been using some 3d printed junk and I just realized I can actually paint scenery now that I have an airbrush.

We've gotten good mileage out of the Horizon Grid set from Top Down Terrain. There's some decent scatter there too.
