Like his path wouldn't be so bad if it weren't just for that one stage with the falling blocks where you have to wait for what feels like ten minutes for them to build the path, which inextricably changes its pattern halfway through just to gently caress with you, and if you're starting after a death you don't have enough hearts to just skip with Alucard as a bat so you only get one chance to not have to deal with it. And then of course that's just the beginning of the stage.

I will fully admit that this part specifically is bullshit-hard.

The same place Gamestop/ThinkGeek did for those bundles, their warehouse where they've been sitting for months awaiting a promotion. Bet most people didn't even know what a Treasure Truck was before today, I know I didn't. And ThinkGeek got to clear out some old stock at a profit.

Think of it this way. Even if you immediately resell it, it sells for over 200 easily. Maybe even around 250. So minus your purchase you can clear $150-200 with very little effort for I assume you mean 2 hours of driving when you count both ways, and it's maybe 5 bucks in gas? Plus you can play with it before reselling.

Nintendo should have just been like "oh, we're not allowed to make anymore" with the NES Classic and then secretly had an off-the-books run sold under the table to Amazon and other stores.

Hell, maybe they did and that's where these units are coming from :tinfoil:

Thanks for the encouragement, got my lazy butt up and out. Pic of our haul. Half of the people walking around the outdoor LA mall have these bags. Their stock must have been outrageous. Took them like an hour to sell out.

are now than they ever were before.
Confirmed, just snagged mine in Dallas. There looked to be about 150 or so still on the table with an hour and a half of pick up time to go.

Sold out in Houston before the cut off at 5 and there was a pretty long line and they had people going through like they were on a conveyor belt, scanning QR codes and handing bags with them inside and giving some Houston themed coasters too

One of my two cats was infatuated with it too, her brother didn't give a poo poo and was sleeping

So how easy is it to just add in games and keep the same interface? Is it hard to brick this thing because I absolutely need to get another controller to play some BLADES. OF. STEEL. which is the best sports game ever made fyi

Very very easy. Hakchi is the premier tool for modding the system and it does a seamless job.

Yeah it super simple to use. If you really want to, you can even throw Master System and T16 on it, but I just stuck with the NES library. And for the record, compatibility is about the same as the Everdrive N8 from what I seen, as games that just don't work there like the original Uncharted Waters (for the NES) just turn out glitchly on the NES Classic.

Oh those rare occasions I wish I lived in the US...

Missing the NES classic is annoying but I'm much more annoyed about how the "increased supply" of SNES classics just went to more scalpers. Maybe I'll just have to get a raspberry pie and Castlevania 4 on that. :effort:

I'm going to be optimistic and believe that this "extra supply" will be something like 5-10x more than the NES Classic had.

Please, Nintendo... Let me get one for me my sons this Christmas... :negative:

If we can extrapolate from what we have heard about French numbers:

In France, it's said that for the release day of the snes classic, there will be double the number of units that was available in France during the ENTIRE production run of the nes classic.

Online pre-orders might be a crapshoot but if you go and wait maybe a hour or more at a store of your choice you should get one opening day.

Here's a newer guide. It's still just as easy. Don't use his games folder. It's 90% SNES. He also has videos on how to set up other other systems and folders and things... If you decide to add other systems, you may want to change the names of the roms to start with the system they are for. That'll make it easier to organize them.
