Any decent Dwarf team ideas? I can see some synergy between Stonehammer / Alchemist / King Highforge. Also there's supposedly a Mythic being released on Friday (August 4th) so might be worthwhile to hold back some non-Event keys from the week's lootsplosion.

The new dwarf legendary is pretty good. Wish I had the traitstones to unlock the "dwarves start with 50% mana" third trait. This is my dwarf team: Kraken banner Stonehammer*** Lady Ironbeard* Apothecary*** King Highforge* Double-dipping the event bonus is still ridiculous at 10%.

I usually just drop whatever I've accumulated at the beginning on the week. Turns out you can generate gold and souls extremely quickly on pc if you play while you're watching tv. Logged on to my laptop quick, says Gem Blossums is registered for Guild Wars.

I'm not sure I'm willing to dump all my gems into Event Keys for a marginal chance at getting him though, especially with a new Mythic later this week. Maybe if I get lucky on Friday I'll give it a shot. Also, Gem Boiz has a spot open if anyone out there is still waiting to get in a goon guild.

I've been running Dwarven Gate Lady Ironbeard Runesmith Apothecary Runesmith buffs the lady up to high enough armor to do her thing if necessary, and otherwise just beefs up the gate so it can do damage on skull matches. Will forgo skull matches early and let gate tank. Barrier teams are annoying since you have no poke to take them down but outside of getting your gate devoured the backline stays protected. This is way slower than a real team but it's fun to switch it up imo!

Dorfgate, Lord Ironbeard, Bombadier, Runesmith with Lion Banner. Kill any reds with Ironbeard, randomly poke at things with Bombadier, buff the gate to high heaven. I'm liking the increased gold even though I'm aware that over time faster teams probably come out ahead.

Somehow a guild wars defense team I faced today had 1 troop, Elspeth, which sacrificed itself turn 1 thus rewarding me full points. So I guess teams with less than 4 troops are back? So, it is possible that the developers used MAX when they meant MIN in their new Guild Wars formula, and that as a result infinite-looping teams may potentially score an unlimited number of points. Does anyone want to test this with +Purple/green banner Something that is red and/or brown with Stoneskin*** Giant Spider*** Green Seer*** Literally anything with either Nature Link or Magic Link*** Just keep converting until skull drops kill the opposing troops. It'll be boring, but you might wind up with like 5000 points from a single GW battle if I'm right. Edit: to avoid divide-by-zero strangeness, make sure the AI takes at least one match-3 and does at least one damage before you steamroll it into submission. I'm not doing math to play my work downtime matching game. Guess I'm stuck with low scores to match my low effort. Which I suppose is justified. Speed bonus should be removed or reworked. They need to figure out how to create an incentive to using different types of teams, penalizing someone for using a tank/heal/barrier heavy but low damage team is the opposite of this. I didn't have any problem with the previous version other than encouraging devour defenses.

I think the devs really outdid themselves with the new troops. Just finished a 30 minute loss (!!!!!) to this team: Lion Banner +2blue/+1yellow/-1green Dwarven Gate *** Dwarven Gate *** King Highforge *** Dwarven Gate *** All mythic, fully leveled, the guy also has all 5-star kingdom bonuses on top of both troops being +20% from the weekly event. So, 10 blue mana to fully barrier the team and heal the caster with 34 armor, 15 brown/red mana to do 54 damage to the last 2 enemy troops and stun them oh and a summon just because we gotta sell gems this week. Give it a shot, you know, the team with a 5 digit team score and a defense record of 196 wins vs just 43 losses.

What a miserable comp, since the gates just chain infinitely with giving each other 5 mana. I could've beat it with my normal team of Kraken/Valk/Justice/Mab but I was using dwarves for bonus gold.

What is the status on the waiting list, is the discord one current? My  guild was ok when I just had to do 200k/1500s but grinding for sentinels om top of that sucks balls when I still need to level kingdoms.

I saw that it was discussed but was happy in my guild because 200k per week I could do and still finish a nation per week. But the demand for sentinels on top put a stop to that and I am starting my vacation so no more commute gaming for a while.

Since I threatened to boot The Professor, he/she has quietly gotten back into the game (at least, the "last activity" counter went from weeks to hours, though that seems not to be due to PVP). Blossums thus has no more slots open due to outright inactivity. That said, Vasudus is very low-activity; you check in regularly, but never collect seals or do battles. Are you actually interested in playing the game still, or are you just going through the motions?

You are probably best getting them all to ~6 evenly then trying to level 10 the ones that give magic bonus at 10 Level 9 and 10 are 30k and 40k gold to upgrade so it's a big chunk of gold to do them all

I stopped keeping track of the wait list after the new guild was created. Here's the last update I had: THE_JAFF (Thejaff) TYLERIKOVNIKOV_U1EY (tophet) PIXFIX_GNWH (pixfix) Arrrthritis (Arrrthritis) SERAPH_3YUC (AnonSpore) Let's try and get a new list going if we are going to shut down Belt Fed Crossbow. If we have people waiting I don't have a problem kicking someone that is only logging in to collect stuff but aren't actually playing. Back on the old guild screen Last Battle was the only indicator of activity anyway, and I preferred it that way. TurambarNL is back at 21 days since his last battle of any kind, and we have one open slot right now. That would put Boiz at 2 slots, and it sounds like Blossoms may have one opening. So, I had some spare time this morning and opened up 3000 gold chests and 300 glory chests (leaves me with 21,000 gold chests and 0 glory). Then I sorted all my troops by quantity and ascended everything I could as high as it could go. Now, if I disenchant every mythic I can reap 51,000 souls. (a few months ago disenchanted all the mythics for 180,000 souls). My question is, is there any hint that we'll be able to donate troops to the guild? I remember the dark day when the introduced the ascendancy system, and I'd only just disenchanted every extra troop. Also gently caress plague.

Yeah I'm scared to ever mass disenchant troops again. You run out of stuff to spend souls on eventually. I'm a sperg and used to manually disenchant all extra copies over what the theoretical next ascension tier would cost. Now I have almost 300k souls with nothing to spend them on.

You can pretty much just ignore the board entirely. You do need a blue match to get going, and poison fucks the barrier protection against devour, and death mark can be a problem. One key text change for highforge is that you stun them first. Neutralizes death traits.
