i'm consistently impressed with the kill six billion demons thread, where they discuss possibly the best webcomic currently in production by taking turns to point out what they see on the page and make dungeons and dragons references

You use that word? I hate it. I'm glad LGBTQ hasn't really caught on. It's sounds like a 1920's author describing an eccentric fellow who is weird.

yeah the vet industry in general has sky-high suicide rates, when i told my friend i was going to be a vet nurse she blurted out "I KNEW SOMEONE WHO WAS A VET NURSE AND SHE KILLED HERSELF!!! but you'll be great at it"

i'm aiming to be an ecologist first and a vet nurse only in emergencies but ecologists will probably overtake them in the suicide polls soon

i trained to be an ecologist and now i'm an upper mid-level bureaucrat. make of that what you will

to be fair this current arc has an actual dnd reference. every other arc has dnd references in the sense that both are heavily inspired by the Vedic texts

hardcore history is poo poo and he just basically reads 'the guns of august' to you

read "the proud tower" and "the guns of august" yourself, barbara tuchman is a treat to read and you don't have to deal with low gravely nerd voice trying to invoke a serious and somber mood

I don't mind his dumb narration. But he pulls from a bunch of different sources and usually gives me enough info to do more research on a subject I find interesting.
