Always liked the Ferrari ordering process. Sort of like Porsche but to a greater degree. Overwhelmed with options and very rarely do you get something that is agreeable.

To be fair, he'll probably get more interest than if he said "1985 Fiero, gas gauge doesn't work, sunroof leaks". Looks like he's sunk a bunch of money into it, and still doesn't say anything about the engine, so stock 2.8 v6 and an automatic.

A '40 Ford grille would work with the body lines. I can see that's what they were going for, but ended up with... that. Possibly because of space/structure issues. Or just an unwillingness to break out the sawzall. Jymmybob posted:You already know what it is but I will say it's surprisingly restrained and the work actually looks well done. Seriously, just leave the Ferrari emblems off and it would be fine, though I prefer the original Fiero grid taillights, myself. I mean, literally the only mod is the taillights.

I didnt remember it wasnt turbo which sucks. Its probably more power than stock though and wouldnt upset balance too much. If you have an rx7 sitting around with no engine why not. It would be pretty cheap.

Granted it looks like the seller has been trying to sell the car for over a year now (Instagram album says April 2016) but had knocked the price down from around $9000 from an ad from last month. Also, it's managed to put on 24k miles between last April and now so it could be fine. Worth checking out?

FC subframe is OK, anyway - need it for rack and pinion, and better control arms. Original engine in an '83 would be 104 HP, so it would be hard to put in something halfway modern with less balls. And literally anything will have more torque. An interesting swap, though possibly more trouble that it's worth with the lack of boostu. At that point, a turbo-4 would make more sense, and be so much easier to fit, at least width-wise. Pity, I like the Subaru tractor motor.

A potent 4 banger would definetly be the horsepower option. If its possible a turbo 944 would be another good option because they mount those slanted and i think its in the same ballpark weight wise. Anything that keeps the front end light imo is the way to go otherwise you are just building a supra.
