Good mix of people, everyone was really nice, and it seems like they're working on some good poo poo I'll probably start attending against once I get back to Orlando for college

I know quite a few ppl in DSA/YDS want to see major changes to how DSA treats YDS currently.

There is a strong amount of socialist sympathy on campus as well so yeah I think if some effort was put into it you could really pull togeather a decent sized YDS at UCF. Of course last semester a bunch of right wing websites swore that Knights for Socialism were organizing a violent socialist uprising the last time they gathered lol

It cannot be understated how utterly terrified the right wing in Florida are of socialists. A bunch of right wing groups (including one called MAGA underground or something) were calling for "citizens to report individuals suspected of communist sympathies to the police" because I guess it's 1950 or something

The biggest lesson of 2016 is that the Rockefeller republican doesn't exist. The CHUDs don't want free trade or tax cuts, they want infrastructure spending, job programs, and better healthcare (albeit just for white people) It isn't that far of a jump from "gently caress THE LIBS" to "gently caress THE RICH" and the donor class knows this
