To be fair, it's pretty obvious that the Democratic Party is specifically looking for a PoC candidate in an attempt to replicate the success of Obama. Like, the main two people who come to mind when thinking of "obvious Democratic presidential hopefuls" are Cory Booker and Kamala Harris (and the thing with Deval Patrick just came up recently).
