VICTORIA—Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s visit to a park near Victoria didn’t quite follow the script today as he accidentally fell into the ocean while trying to get into a kayak.

A dampened Trudeau joked that he was, in his words, “happy the national media was there to capture that.”

The prime minister’s kayak voyage at the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve became even more eventful when a bride and groom sailed up beside his kayak to pose for a selfie with Trudeau.

Michelle Gruetzner was wearing her white wedding dress.

She said she and her husband, Heiner Gruetzner, were holding their wedding reception on nearby Sidney Spit when they approached the prime minister — Trudeau kissed the bride, twice.

Trudeau is in Tofino later today to take part in a roundtable with Indigenous leaders.

Those who donate $1,000 or more we’ll have their names engraved in brass on a beautiful plaque that is hung in Rebel HQ.

For the very special people who donate $10,000 or more, Ezra will meet them for lunch in Toronto or any major city in North America. And they will also get their names on a plaque.

And if some amazing guardian angel wants to donate $50,000, then we will literally name our entire world headquarters for them, for one year. Ezra will end every show by saying "we’re signing off from the John Smith world headquarters of The Rebel", or whatever name you like! (Subject to editorial discretion.)

I don't know I'd like to hear what you have against him. To me Jagmeet seems like too much of a sunny ways Trudeau for the NDP. Niki Ashton has rubbed me wrong since the incident on the floor of parliament where she was bumped by Trudeau and flipped out and her campaign seems focused on bourgeois identity politics and not actual substantive change.

As far as I've seen so far Angus has shown the strongest support for indigenous rights, workers rights and strong socio economic change for Canada. That's what's stood out to me for him any ways.

Admittedly I haven't followed the race as closely as I would have liked and only have a sense of what each candidate is about, I just liked what I heard from Angus at the start of the campaign most. As the vote gets closer I'll sit down and take a harder look at things.

You're not remembering the incident correctly. Trudeau was yelling at people to "get the gently caress out of the way" while physically dragging Gord Brown by the arm, and while doing so he accidentally elbowed Ellen Brousseau. It wasn't Ashton who was elbowed, and she didn't "flip out" about it.

She did say on twitter it was kind of disturbing that it happened when looked at through a gendered lens. This was bad optics ("gendered lens" is academic speak, and twitter is not the place you want to use terminology that requires unpacking), but she was actually 100% right. On average, women are going to be less physically imposing than men, so if we ever end up with a parliament where it's acceptable to physically force other MPs into doing what you want, then you'll end up with a parliament where men are going to have an advantage at successfully enacting policy.

Twitter was not the place to make this argument, though, and it was a tactical error for Mulcair to try to make the incident into something more than it was, given how he focused on the elbowing and not the whole situation (and that Trudeau apologized so quickly.)

It's cool if you don't like Ashton for leader - right now she's only my second choice after Caron - but if this one of your reasons you should probably reevaluate.

No skin off my back if you think it's stupid, but someone in my family got results that way on decades of regular migraines following a referral from someone else saying they had luck. Whether it's a direct result or not, as much as I'd love to criticize lame meals, I really can't argue with ~5 years of success.

(There's way too much BS online to ever sort through, but there seems to be a case for autoimmune issues with food triggers causing inflammation/stress that leads to migraines.)

Dismissed out of hand? We tried for a month, it didn't work and a leading north american specialist in chronic pain said there was no scientific literature to support it. How is that dismissing it out of hand?

And the Naturopath might not be getting kale kickbacks but I'm guessing they've got some interest in all the supplements they "prescribe" to you when you show up citing chronic pain.
